GENERAL INFORMATION
Nemo File Manager consists of two main components, “ConversionServer” Windows service and
“Nemo File Manager” user interface application. Note, that the ConversionServer is running even
though Nemo File Manager application is closed. This means that you can close the Nemo File
Manager application and still all rules are being processed by ConversionServer.
Use
Nemo File Manager is the user interface which is used to control the ConversionServer.
ConversionServer
The ConversionServer service is launched automatically by installer after first install. The default
startup type is set as Automatic so it will start up every time the Windows is started.
To observe the state of Windows services, go to Windows Task Manager (right click Task bar and
then select Start Task Manager OR press Ctrl + Shift + ESC). Select the Services tab and at the bottom
of the window you can find Services button. This opens Services application where ConversionServer
service can be found and the Status will inform if the service is “Started” or not.

SETTINGS
General
Settings defines different settings for handling the files.
Archiving
For archiving go to Tools | Settings | Archiving
New archive for each file defines that a new archive file is created for each measurement
file.
New archive for each day defines that a new archive file is created for each day, containing
all measurement files from that day. You are also able to define the naming format.
Converter prefix defines a prefix for the File Converter archive files.
Voice Quality testing
On the Voice Quality page you can define settings related to voice quality measurements. When the
PESQ dongle is installed and a POLQA measurement file with embedded audio samples is processed,
also the PESQ score is calculated.
In the File Manager the saved audio samples are processed from the .nbl file. The .nmf file will thus
contain both PESQ and POLQA scores, which are calculated for every audio sample, embedded in the
8 Nemo Fi le Manager
.nbl file. When the PESQ dongle is installed and a POLQA measurement file with embedded audio
samples is processed, also the PESQ score is calculated.
Note that Voice Quality tab appears when PESQ dongle is inserted.
Note that copy protection dongle with PESQ option is required in the Nemo File Manager
PC to perform the PESQ calculation.
Note that Voice Quality settings in the File Manager do not affect whether the audio
samples are saved or not.
Save reference sample
If checked, reference samples are not deleted after conversion.
Do not save recorded samples
All samples are deleted after conversion
Save samples with MOS under threshold:
All samples under specified threshold are saved. Set threshold to 5 (MOS maximum) to save all
samples.
Menu | Settings | Voice quality | MOS threshold. MOS threshold defines the limit for saved audio
samples. All audio samples with POLQA MOS score that is below the defined limit will be saved with
the logfile. This makes it possible to playback the actual audio samples in the post‐processing.

File list
Search subfolders
Applies only to folder rules. All subfolders of the rule source folder are processed. This is recursive
operation, meaning that all subfolders of subfolders are also processed.
Subfolder exclusion
Folders can be excluded from the rule so that they will not be processed.
File extension filtering
Only files with selected extension are processed. NOTE: .nbl and .nbl.gz require separate filters
Uncompress archive files
Uncompresses all .zip files if found under rule and processes uncompressed files separately
Convert .nbl files
Enables conversion for .nbl and .nbl.gz files. If not checked, .nbl and .nbl.gz files are processed as any
other file
No timing disables Conversion Timing.
Conversion timed between defines a time range during which conversion operations are allowed to
be performed.
Embed indoor marker coordinates
Coordinates are copied from Marker (.mrk) file to measurement and GPS events are created with the
information collected from .mrk. Also new GPS events are created to fill the gap of user markers.
Marker file has to be in the same folder with the measurement file and filename must be same. For
example myMeasurement.nbl(.gz) and myMeasurement.mrk.
Merge GPS Coordinates (only available when two or more files are added to the list)
GPS coordinates are merged from ‘master’ file to ‘slaves’. Select ‘master’ file which is used to collect
the required events before ‘slave’ conversion.
Merge markers & GPS coordinates (only available when two or more files are added to the list)
If the same measurement is done with multiple devices, it is possible to duplicate MARK & GPS
events to ‘slaves’. All measurement files must be selected at same time and they form group which
uses .mrk file which is named after ‘master’ measurements. No other marker files are allowed in the
same folder.

be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one
(1) year from the date of receipt. To the extent that implied warranties are disclaimable, they are
disclaimed in paragraph 10. Some states/jurisdictions do not allow disclaimers of or limitations on
