Action• Barbara Avner will explain what diabetes is and how diabetes is treated.• Scott Klear will explain what it is like to have diabetes.• Students will read a journal about what it would be like to live with diabetes.

Students will write a reflection on the journal.• Students will design diabetes friendly menus. Reflection Students write a reflection about what they learned and why it is important to raise money to help cure diabetes.

Demonstration/Celebration

A representative from JDRF will attend our walk and we will present a check to them.
