We are first and foremost ga rdeners, with a passion for plants. It’s this passion that drives us to seek out and find new and exciting varieties to offer to our friends and customers. For almost 40 years we have been growing and introducing new varieties of plants, bulbs and seed to the Irish public. We can justifiably claim to have introduced more new varieties to Irish gardeners in the last 40 years than any other garden supplier. It is this passion for new and old varieties of noteworthy merit that continues to drive us to this day. This year is no different from any other with lots of new varieties many of them exclusive to Mr Middleton.

Our catalogue contains just a sample of the many exciting varieties we sell, many more are available online but for the very best experience a visit to our shop is a must where you will find over 1,000 varieties of spring flower bulbs.

It has been a very difficult year for gardener’s weather wise but the highlight of the year for many of us was the displays of spring flowering bulbs. This summer yet again proved what hard work bedding plants are, yet the spring displays showed us how easy it is to have great colour in the garden for weeks on end with flower bulbs.

With proper planning you can have a display of spring colour right thought from Aconites in January to the Bearded Iris and Allium Summer Drummer in July.The good thing about bulbs is that before you have ever planted them, they have built up a store of food to produce the next season flower, guaranteeing a superb spring display.

This has been a year of many changes for us, following your many requests our shop in Mary St is now open 7 days a week all year round making it easier to get all your garden essentials.

Our mail-order warehouse moved to new premises allowing us to provide a new click and collect service so customers can collect bulky items.

We have launched our new online store where we hope to offer thousands of new products over the coming months and you can also follow us on Facebook for up to the minute news direct from Mr Middleton. How does it work? All living matter contains bacteria. When living matter dies the bacteria within it breaks down the solid materials into their molecular components. This is a natural process.

The mesh container is agitated on a regular basis to add the oxygen and thereby speeds up the process of turning the solid waste into liquid.
