NECROMUNDA GET STARTED

ASSEMBLTTG YOUR BUTTDIiIGSThe card buildings included in Necromunda represent the urban clutter of theUnderhive and form the basis of the game, providing cover for your gang andobstacles to your enemy. The card buildings are designed so that they can be clipped together with just theplastic bulkheads provided.

PTASTIC BUTKHEADS GLUING PARTS TOGETHERThe buildings and gantries of Necromunda are designedto fit around the thirty plastic bulkheads included in thegame. These bulkheads form the the main support forthe card floors, buttresses and the walkways. There are several different bulkhead styles, and youshould bear this in mind when assembling the buildings.Try to avoid placing the same style of bulkhead next toeach other or forming too many solid areas as this tendsto obscure l ine of sight too much.

Join the plastic bulkheads together by locating thebottom tabs of one bulkhead into the top slot of another.Push the bulkheads together until they are flush witheach other as shown in the'correct'illustration below.

Once you have experimented with the assembly of yourbuildings we recommend that each building is gluedtogether. Gluing your buildings provides a more stablesurface for you to battle over. To glue your buildings youwill need a PVA glue, such as Citadel PVA glue, or an allpurpose adhesive l ike UHU glue.

It is best to glue the plastic bulkheads together first.Once dry the bulkheads can then be glued into positionwith the card floors. The final stage is to glue the cardbuttresses to the side slots of the plastic bulkheads.Do not glue any of the card walkways to the buildings asthis will make it difficult for you to experiment with andbattle over different layouts.

CARD BUTTRESSESNecromunda contains a number of card buttresseswhich you may wish to add to your buildings to provideextra support and cover. The large buttresses aredesigned to fit the three storey building only. The smal[erbuttresses are more versatile and can positioned onioany of the buildings or walkways.

To position a buttress simply push it into the side grooveof a plastic bulkhead.

WRONG! CORRECT The small buftresses may be used on any building.

BUITDING ONEFor this two storey building you will need the two cardfloors shown below, six plastic bulkheads and up to sixsmall card buttresses.

STAGE 1: Join two plastic bulkheads together. Slide thetwo card floors onto the assembled two storev bulkhead.

STAGE 2: Attach four more plastic bulkheads as shownabove to complete this building.

STAGE 3: This stage is optional. Six of the small cardbuttresses may be attached to the plastic bulkheads.

BUILDING TWOThis three storey building requires three card floors asillustrated, twelve plastic bulkheads and the eight largecard buttresses.

STAGE 1t Join three plastic bulkheads together thenslide in the three card floors. Repeat this procedureusing the other slots on the card floor.

BUILDING TI{REEThis is the mostintricate of thebuildings and consistsof two storeysincorporating a tower. For this building youwill need the two cardfloors, six plasticbulkheads and up toeight small cardbuttresses. A strip ofadhesive tape or anelastic band will berequired to secure thecard tower.

STAGE 1: First slot the tower roof in place. The towercan now be folded round the roof, ensuring each of theroof tabs slots in firmly. We recommend you use a stripof adhesive tape on the inside of the building to securethe assembled tower. Alternatively an elastic band canbe placed around the base of the tower.

STAGE 2: The assembled tower can now be slofted intothe card floor. lt is important to ensure that tower side 'A'faces towards the striped section of the card floor.

STAGE 3: Slide the second card floor into the slotsprovided as shown above.

STAGE 4z Join two plastic bulkheads together. Slide thetvvo bulkheads into the two card floors. Repeat this stepfor the other side.

STAGE 5: Aftach two more plastic butkheads by stidingthem into the first floor as shown above.

STAGE 6: Ihr.s stage is optional. Up to eight of the smattcard buttresses may be attached to the plasticbulkheads as show.

TUNNET ENTRANCEThe tunnel entrance comprises one plastic bulkhead, two small buttresses and the card tunnel. This oiece ofcan be used as a stand alone item of terrain, orcombined with card walkwavs.

STAGE 1: S/of the card tunnel entrance and two smallbuttresses into the plastlc bulkhead shown above.

Slot "X"

STAGE 2: The completed tunnel entrance, walkwayscan be positioned into the slot marKed "X".

WATKWAYSNecromunda contains several different types ofwalkways which can be used to connect your buildings. There are two different types of walkway; double endedwalkways which slide onto floors, and single endedwhich terminate in a plastic bulkhead.

SQUARE PLATFORM: To assemble the squareplatform, slide two plastic bulkheads onto the buildingfloor as shown in the diaqram.

NECROMUNDA GET STARTED

DOUBLE ENDEDWALKWAY These walkways slide ontothe floors of the buildings as shown above. This longwalkway requires two plastic bulkheads to support it.

DOUBLE ENDED WALKWAY: This L shaped walkwaywhich requires the support of one plastic bulkhead, andconnects to buildings as shown above.

SfNGLE ENDED WALKWAYS= These slide onto abuilding floor at one end and terminate in a plasticbulkhead at the other. Slide the open end of the walkwayonto the building floor and then push a plastic bulkheadfirmly into position at the other end. The card walkwaywill fit neatly into the top gap of the plastic bulkhead.Position the walkway so that the ladders on thebulkhead end are not blocked.

WATER STILLThe water sti l l is a freestanding game objectivewhich can also be used asextra cover. To assemble, fold the large card in halfand secure in place withthe two smal ler cardsupports.

Page 6: Necromunda Terrain

ASSEMBLY TTSTRUCTIONSThe card buildings in Outlanders can be used to expand the urban sprawlyou already have from your copy of Necromunda. The lift tower and the'watch-tower are designed so they can be clipped together with just theplastic bulkheads, though gluing them together is still a good idea.

LIFT TOWERYou wjll need the largecard floor, the two smallcard floors. ten plasticbulkheads, the liftplatform and front.

\

STAGE l: Assemble two sets of three plastic bulkheadsand join one set to the large card plafform. Push the twosmall card floors onto the bulkheads and then attach thesecond set of bulkheads as shown.

STAGE 2: Push a plastic bulkhead into each of the slots asshown. Fold the ljft platform and push the lift front intothe slots provided. Once assembied, the lift can beattached to one of the plastic bulkheads in the samemanner as a straight-ended walkway.

Once jt has been folded, the fortified walkway can beattached to the plastic bulkheads as shown above.

WATCH.TOWERFor this building you will need the watch-tower platformshown below two plastic bulkheads. the two parapetsand the four card buttresses.
