  • First known for its ability to create social networks of personal friends, thus sharing whats happening, photos, videos, etc.
  • Now also considered as a great place to create a web page to reach targeted audiences in a direct marketing way for very little cos.
  • Tie Facebook with Twitter and other media to create a marketing plan for a targeted audience.

  • First, well create one
  • Of course we need to have our account set up.
  • Only one account per person is allowed.
  • What shall we name the page that would be a resource for you all to share?
  • After it is created, be sure you join it.
  • Write down the Facebook page name on the small resource card you have
  • Type in the complete page name in the search box and it will take you there.

  • Social media is still thought of as the domain of young people but it isnt!
    • Fastest growing age groups on Facebook are 35-54 year-olds and those 55 and above.
  • Special interest groups are using social technology and social media to engage people who are passionate about their causes.
  • Our audience is there and more will be soon.

    • Determine password that you can remember

  • Find groups that are of your interest
  • Make contributions to the group for recognition
  • The more you contribute the more that people will follow

    • A hashtag in Twitter is a way for many different people to write about the same event and have it all collected in one place.
    • Green Expo is using the hashtag #negreenexpo .
    • You can add this into your tweet mention the marketing workshop so that other attendees can easily find the info you post about the workshop.
