1) Topic: Personnel Security and Active Shooter Situations – Officer J.K. Sharketti, Crime Prevention Police officer, CSPD

•“Very popular” briefing, hosted by Fran Byczyinski (former NAVSYS FSO). Very interesting with lots of references to Cleared Defense Contractors and cases and current situations in Colorado Springs.

2)Topic: Counterintelligence Briefing–Targeting US Technologies–DSS Threat Briefing– Kevin Flowers, DSS Counterintelligence Specialist

•Kevin is our DSS Counterintelligence rep and contact. Always very informative and organized, helpful and personable, and very knowledgeable. He gives classified and unclassified versions of his briefings, and can “tailor” it to a specific audience.

3) Topic: Various, regarding suspicious contacts– Ben Dickinson, Special Agent, Dept of Homeland Security

•Very interesting “case study” briefings, both classified and unclassified, including the recent, big UTMC case from Colorado Springs

5) Topic: Certified Ethical Hacker – “White Hat” hackers

– Very interesting briefing – Given by Max Shier from DSS, and/or Timothy Teller

•Topic: InfraGard briefing: membership in InfraGard is for private industry; a collaboration for National Infrastructure Protection. Chapters are geographically linked with FBI field offices, connect to a national network of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), communicate

with federal law enforcement and government agencies through their local InfraGard chapters, and contribute to the security and protection of our national infrastructure from threats and attacks.

An offer of assistance…The Tri-Lakes Business Incubator would like to offer assistance to the members of the Colorado government work force by providing office space to those affected by the sequester. We are offering FREE DAY USE of our facilities for government employees who were furloughed, and are in need of office space, wi-fi, copiers and other services. Beginning 08 July 2013, every Monday and Friday, government employees may begin utilizing the Tri-Lakes Business Incubator's facilities, which are located at 14960 Woodcarver Road, just west of Baptist Road. Ample free parking is available. Government ID must be shown at the front desk, and sign-in is required.
