In this second RSGM, the project was introduced to the

region’s fishermen. Since the meeting in Middelburg was

recent, a description of the best practices that was

presented to Kavala’s delegation was given to the

participants of RSGM. A lengthy discussion on CHFC

followed about what is eligible to be considered as CHFC

(music, dances, proverbs, legends, traditions, customs,

gastronomy, literature, costumes, toponyms, etc.). The

meeting ended with the main problems that fishermen

face nowadays and how CHFC can help them to overcome

those problems.

Main outputs:

- Fishermen learnt about the meaning and goals of

CHERISH

-Fishermen got familiar with the concept of CHFC and TEK

- Participants found out how they can contribute to the

project
