According to detectives, two males were involv ed in a verbal altercation in front of 625 Hill Street. The argument escalated when the subject (male black, no further description) armed with a handgun shot the 34 year male victim and fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to Nassau County Medical Center by private auto where he was pronounced at 12:25 P.M. by hospital staff. The victims’ identity is being withheld pending family notification. Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous. Details by: D/Sgt.
