The item is determined to be a 5 Inch Projectile Drill round with no explosive hazard. 1240 ­ The item is secured by the team. 1245 ­ Team departs incident location. 1430 ­ Team returns to the unit.

CA El Centro 11/01/06 Army Rocket 5. inch AR with 3.5 inch Motor Practice

Team was unable to determine if the items were practice or live muntions due to severe deterioration of the ordnance and items were disposed of by detonation. After detonation items were verified practice muntions.

CA Irvine 08/08/06 Army Rocket WTU­14/B, WARHEAD, 2.75 IN,

PRACTICE

Contractor was digging on a former USMC installation and found the item. Team responded and identified the item as a Inert 2.75in rocket warhead. Team recovered the item for training.

CA Lockwood 01/13/06 Army Commercial Explosives

Both items were insensitive, in good shape and used in commercial explosive operations. Because the incident was in a neighborhood community and it was night time, the team leader could not verify the absence of personnel in the area so it was deteremined to transport the items back to a holding area until a proper demolition area was available. The team arrived as Moffett Field and placed the items in the 129th Air Rescue Wing's ammunition holding area.

San Mateo Police notified the company they were in­route to the company location to drop off a piece of military ordnance. Upon arrival the item brought to the company was a US Sea marker MK5 mod 6 (Expended). The item was scrap but contained a very small amount of RP residue. The item was placed in water to deprive the RP of oxygen and it will be taken to Camp Roberts where it can be properly demilitarized.

The item was moved approximately 600 meters to a nearby beach. The item was disposed of on the beach at grid FF07307062. After the detonation, a visual inspection of the area was conducted and all visible scrap was collected and removed from the beach.

Team packaged the marker in water and transported back to base for emergency disposal.

FL pensacola 02/14/06 Air Force Bomb M120 Photoflash The OSC was deputy sheriff Stan Reed. Upon arrival to the scene the team determined through investigation that it was a World War II era photoflash bomb (approx. 100 lbs with about 5 lbs of photoflash remaining). The item was broken into parts and pieces and deemed safe for transport to the Hurlburt Field EOD range in ammo cans. It was destroyed on range.

FL Santa Rosa 03/27/06 Air Force Grenade NO. 36M MK1 The grenade did not have a safety ring and it was so caked over with sand and dirt that it was impossible to positively tell if the safety pin was still in. We determined that it would be safer to transport the UXO to the sheriff's range that was nearby, rather than transporting it to base. The grenade was transported 1/2 a mile to a disposal range and detonated with explosives acquired from the State Fire Marshal.

FL Tiger Point 05/22/06 Air Force Pyrotechnic AN­M45A1, SIGNAL, AIRCRAFT,SINGLE STAR, GREEN

Team received a call from the local State Fire Marshall that he had 10 ea 40mm flares that he had in his possession. Team responded and met Mr. White in Tiger Point to inspect and ID the items in question. When team arrived, Mr. White had the items sitting on his tailgate and team inspected the items. They were 5 ea AN­M43A1, 4 ea AN­M44A1, and 1 ea AN­M45A1 Aircraft Signal Flares. The items were unfired and deemed safe for transport, and the primers were protected using tape. The items were turned over to Hurlburt Field munitions inspection section for disposition on the next ADR

They were 5 ea AN­M43A1, 4 ea AN­M44A1, and 1 ea AN­M45A1 Aircraft Signal Flares. The items were unfired and deemed safe for transport, and the primers were protected using tape. We retrieved the boxes and found them to contain small arms ammunition. Team recovered all items and transported them to QASAS for disposition. TX Matagordar 09/12/06 Army Sea Marker mk 25 EOD recieved a call from the Bay City Sherrifs Office for a UXO. EOD responded to the UXO, TM leader performed recon and identifed the ordnance as a MK 25 sea marker. Sea Marker was disposed of by detonation in place.

TX mingus 03/03/06 Army Projectile Texas state troopers had stopped a vehicle in mingus, Texas and found a 60mm Mortar in the vehicle. EOD responded to the incident site. Upon arrival, EOD looked at the item. It looked to be a rusted 60mm Training Mortar. The primer cartridge was still in it and said winchester 60mm M­4. EOD was told the individual who had the mortar had found it in the debris after a house fire. EOD then moved the item to grid 14S NA 54002 98206 and blew the item in place.

TX Paris 02/28/06 Air Force Rocket M6, 2.36­INCH, HEAT

Located on a Federal Reservation 12 miles north of Paris, TX. Location had been used as an impact area during WW II. Team arrives on scene and identifies UXO's as M6, 2.36" rockets. Two complete rounds and eight pieces were discovered. A detonation site was determined, with the assistance of the park ranger, and the items were disposed of. A post detonation recon was performed and it was discovered that 5 additional rounds were uncovered. All on hand explosives had been expended and a team was requested to bring more the following day. . 1 Mar 06 0700 ­ EOD Techs were dispatched from Barksdale with additional explosives. 1100 ­ Additional explosives arrived onscene and a thorough recon was performed to determine a UXO free disposal location. The remaining 5 rockets were destroyed without uncovering any further UXO's.

TX Pleasanton 07/17/06 Army Projectile EOD team then identified it to be a 8 in projectile. EOD then transported the item to a local disposal area and disposed of the uxo by detonation

TX Port Arthur 05/27/06 Army Projectile M374 Team recovered item and transported back to safe holding area on base. Item was disposed of by detonation on 30 May 06 1440 at the EOD Range (15R VQ92123226).

TX Powderly 02/07/07 Army Projectile M61A2 Team recieved inicident information from a Ranger Dobbs with the Corp of ENG. Item was reported as a 75mm projectile. Team identified item as a 75mm APC­T, M61A1 with M66A1 BD Fuse. Item was blown in place.

TX San Antonio 07/11/06 Army Hand Grenade Mk II Grenade HE Team Leader received inital tasking at 1439. Team Leader began movement at 1500. Arrived at San Antonio Police Department at 1515. Team Leader identified the grenade as a MK II Grenade HE and verified that it was in a safe condition to transport. Item was then transported to a safe disposal area where it was disposed of by detonation. MC.

TX San Antonio 07/05/06 Army Projectile M77 Call was recieved from SAPD reporting a uxo in residence backyard. EOD team responded and confirmed the uxo to be a M77 AP­T round. EOD Team was dispatched to Seguin, TX in responce to a UXO. Team Arrived on scene at 041600AUG06, the round was identified as a 90MM AP­T. Team transported round to a disposal area and disposed of the round by detonation. MC.

Team destroyed the rocket on site at 14R PS 93566 87210. Team returned to company at 1930. All procedures were done in accordance with 60A­1­1­31 and 60A­1­ 1­22. MC.
