Davroe offers you more because of what we take out Davroe chooses not to use any harsh cleansers such as sodium laurel / laureth sulphates (SLS or SLES) or parabens and petrochemicals which can irritate the scalp as well as strip hair colour and the skins natural moisture barrier.

OLIVE LEAF EXTRACT Olive leaf extract is a unique anti-oxidant from the olive leaf. It protects your hair from free radical damage and reduces further hair damage caused by pollution and UV radiation, therefore protecting the hair from photo ageing. It also improves the elasticity of the hair.

GRAPE SEED EXTRACT Grape seed extract is thought to be one of the most powerful antioxidants available. Grape Seed Extract is renowned for its benefits as a free-radical scavenger for hair and scalp. Antioxidants play an important role in helping to prevent the hair’s ageing process.

1. Why are natural ingredients better for our hair & scalp?SAFE TO USE: All Davroe products contain natural plant and mineral based ingredients. They are carefully formulated not to contain any potentially harmful or toxic chemicals.

EFFECTIVE: Our formulating staff designs all our products based on the principle of GENTLE to the scalp and skin so you know the product you choose will be mild and safe to use for all ages.

QUALITY: The natural ingredients in Davroe Hair Wellness products have been carefully screened through laboratory testing.

FRESH: All our natural based products are handmade in small batches to ensure the highest quality of our products.

No Sodium Laureth or Laurth Sulphates (SLS & SLES)

2. What is Sodium Lauryl Sulphate/ Sodium Laureth Sulphate?Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS), Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES) Ammonium Lauryl Sulphate (ALS) & Ammonium Laureth Sulphate (ALES) are harsh cleansing agents (surfactants) found in most hair care shampoos and toothpastes. They are known irritants and along with causing skin irritation they can strip the hair of hair colour and natural oils. SLS, SLES, ALS & ALES are used widely because they are cheap, widely available and cost is definitely a factor when manufacturers are deciding on their formulations. There are safer alternatives to SLS, SLES, ALS & ALES but they can cost up to five to ten times more. Davroe’s LOW IRRITANT philosophy includes the use of only very mild surfactants in all our shampoos.

No Parabens or Petrochemicals

3. What is a paraben?Parabens are the most commonly used preservatives in personal care & hair care products. The common chemical name for these preservatives is Alkyl Hydroxy Benzoate. These chemicals are becoming more and more controversial and may be associated with the increase risk of some cancers. Whilst it is still inconclusive, Davroe laboratories choose to use alternative natural-based preservatives in all their hair care & body products.

4. What is a petrochemical?Petrochemicals are by-products of crude oil and are added to hair care products as moisturisers, styling agents and various hair protectants. Common petrochemicals found in hair care products include mineral oil, paraffin and petrolatum. While petrochemicals have been used in hair care for many years we now know that they are bad for the environment and do not come from renewable sources.

5. What are silicones? Silicones are a group of ingredients that provide a wide variety of benefits including improved combing, shine, conditioning and also heat and colour protection. They are derived from silica (sand) and have a long and safe history in hair and skin care. There are however some issues with Dimethicone in shampoos (which we don’t use) because they can build up, coat the hair shaft and prevent proper cleansing.

6. Why are Davroe products 100% Vegan? Davroe products are 100% Vegan because we don’t use animal ingredients. Why? Because firstly, we are against animal cruelty and secondly because there is no need these days. We choose to use plant-based alternatives that are superior.

7. Why is NO animal testing so important?Because like animal ingredients, there is no need. We believe testing anything cosmetic on animals is wrong. There have been numerous ways to test for safety for many years that don’t require animal testing.

11. Is Davroe packaging recyclable?Yes, Davroe packaging is 100% recyclable. Davroe uses food grade Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and Polypropylene (PP) in all product bottles.
