SeaweedSeaweed is an ideal tonic for grass that suffers from stress and poor root development, it also helps to alleviate the symptoms of nematode damage.

Seaweed acts as a soil conditioner, strengthening the plant thus allowing it to fight disease and fungal infections. This in turn relieves the grass of environmental stress, allowing it to develop stronger, healthier roots.

Seavolution RangeSeaVolution is a unique, cold process seaweed extractproduced from fresh, hand-picked Ascophyllum nodosum. The seaweed is a sustainable resource and is collected from the sheltered bays and unpolluted waters of the Atlantic Ocean, around the north west coast of Ireland.

Due to the unique cold extraction process SeaVolution is high in micronutrients, plant hormones and alginates, all of which are found naturally in Ascophyllum nodosum.

Ascophyllum nodosum Ascophyllum nodosum (knotted wrack) is a brown macro-algae growing between the low and mid-inter tidal zone of the North Atlantic Ocean. The west coast of Ireland and particularly the Donegal coast, rich in rocky sheltered areas, presents a pure and abundant source of Ascophyllum nodosum. This species is traditionally hand-harvested by local cutters, using careful rotation and selection of cutting areas to allow sustainable management of stocks.

The benefits of a cold seaweed extract OGT has developed, on an industrial scale, a new way of bursting the cells of the seaweed without using any chemicals or heat.

Synthetic chemicals are heavily regulated in numerous applications and they also modify the natural composition of the seaweeds. Heat when applied over 40oC, alters the natural structure of numerous bioactive compounds. OGT’s cold process retains the bioactive molecules naturally present in the seaweed.When the seaweed cell walls burst they release the main bioactive compounds into the 100% soluble liquid extract SeaVolution. SeaVolution thus contains all the natural key compounds of the fresh seaweed beneficial to plants and grasses:

Plant hormones - As with any other plant, seaweed has plant hormone-like molecules that occur naturally, with some variations throughout the year. Auxins are the most predominant plant hormone found in SeaVolution.

Vitamins - Brown seaweeds do not have large amounts of vitamins, but useful quantities of vitamins A, C and E. These are known as anti-oxidants which help the plant in it’s basic physiology to fight against stresses such as drought and parasites.

Polyphenols - Brown seaweeds, and in particular this species, contain quite high proportions of polyphenols, which have high anti-oxidant activity and therefore help the plant during cellular stress in coping with free radicals generated by a pathogen attack.

Pigments - Fucoxanthin along with chlorophyll-a are the main pigments in this species. These compounds are very strong photo-protectors and anti-oxidants.

SeaVolution is used as a remedy for poor grass growth caused by stress,restricted root development and root attack by parasitic nematodes and fungal pathogens.

The unique extraction process squeezes every last drop of goodness from the seaweed giving a product that cannot be bettered in it’s class.

SeaVolution can be used around the golf course on greens, tees, approaches and fairways. It can also be used on bowls greens and other fine turf surfaces, outfield sports areas and ornamental lawns.

SeaVolution Granular is an organic mini granular blend of seaweed meal and composted seaweed, containing humicacid, calcium, magnesium and micronutrients in a uniqueformulation.

Fast and slow release

SeaVolution Granular contains a high level of organic matter, in particular natural carbon. This carbon source is immediately available, allowing soil microbial life to develop rapidly such as nitrogen-fixing bacteria.The low temperatures used during the production process ensures that the product is rich in antioxidants, in particular polyphenols which play an important role in the nitrogen cycle.

Calcium

Applying SeaVolution Granular ensures the availability of a naturally occuring calcium directly into the soil profile, improving root development. The presence of calcium also has the effect of strengthening the plant cell walls and improves nitrogen use efficiency.

Rootmass Plus Trial

Rootmass Plus has been developed to maximise the synergies between SeaVolution and natural soil structure enhancers. The product contains high quality, plant available humic and fulvic acids, a highly soluble chelated iron, together with the SeaVolution, the market leading unique cold processed seaweed extract.The components of Rootmass Plus are particularly effective forimproving both mass and root structure development of the root system, acting directly on parts of the plant below ground and indirectly through the enhancement of soil microbial activity.

The product should be applied during autumn and spring and is designed to increase root length, structure and biomass, whilst also acting as a soil conditioner.
