Nutrition, safe food, regular work-out and decreasing the environmental harm to a minimum

amount have turned into a crucial issue in the globalised world. The main reasons behind various diseases in

developed and developing countries are unhealthy food consumption, insufficient nutrition, malnutrition,

obesity, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis and some cancer diseases that are

related to sedentary life. With the increase in health spending in the industrialized countries, the society is

now encountered with various health problems as well as the necessity to turn work-out into a habit and

further enhance good diet and fight with addiction. In this framework, the interest and sensitivity of the

consumers towards healthy food and naturally produced food has increased tremendously in recent years.

Yet, when it comes to turning into natural stuff and health diet, there is disinformation in the world

and contradiction as to the terms hence, it is imperative that the awareness level related to those issues be

raised. Increasing the level of health, preventing disinformation, raising awareness as to nutrition and

healthy life will be the issues that will require a lot of efforts and draw our attention in the future. On the other

hand, healthy life and good diet habits do require multifaceted cooperation, as it is a sustainable set of

strategies requiring the cooperation of various industries. Therefore, in each and every aspect of the food

chain, from the soil extending towards our table, different responsibilities fall upon all the disciplines

related to healthy life, especially agriculture, diet, food, health and sports. As such, multifaceted behavior

related to health is required to raise healthy generations and to have a healthy future ahead as well as further

developing the level of health in the society hand in hand with a number of stakeholders. Within this

perspective, the conference entitled Turkey Natural Nutrition and Life Long Health Summit 2015 hosted by

Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University has been completed very successfully and has been followed very closely

by a large number of people with the participation of all the stakeholders.

A healthy nutrition will be effective to have a healthy spirit. We should know the value of fertile

Anatolian soil and protect it. Living in these soils is not our superiority but our privilege. Anatolian soil is a

gene bank for the endemic fruits, vegetables, spices and medical plants that grow on it. The same plants are

also grown in many countries around the world. Due to air, water, soil and biological variety of the regions,

including Anatolian soil, we can express the richness of natural products. None of the other countrie's

medicinal plants can compete with the supporting and preventive power of our medicinal plants that grow

on our soils.

It is highly important that such conferences are institutionalized and become sustainable for the

individuals to turn healthy diet into a habit in accordance with the regions and life conditions and related

industries revise their activities accordingly. It is with this purpose in mind that Turkey Natural Nutrition

and Healthy Life Days '2016 has been organized. This international event will be held on 14-17 April 2016

in Antalya. It is expected that the leaders in the realms of agriculture, food, diet, health and sports industry
