As someone who is in a leadership position at your organization you’re pressed for time, but please, could you give me your full attention for the next minute as you read this letter?

The very talented, dedicated, and hard-working children of the Massdojo National Ka-rate Team, a non-profit organization, would like to compete in the USA-National Karate Championships in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida this year. However, the combination of equip-ment, travel, and lodging expenses along with tournament entry fees makes it difficult for some families to afford participation in this event unless someone steps in to help them.

By contributing, you will receive advertising and positive public relations in the com-munity. Please see the attached page listing the Sponsorship Level of Benefits which describes the perks of sponsoring the Massdojo National Karate Team.

In July 2015 a team of 30 children and adults from towns such as Shrewsbury, West-borough, Worcester, Southborough, Northborough, Acton, Littleton, Westford, Chelmsford, Maynard, Ayer, Concord and Boston would like to travel to Florida. By then we are trying to raise $30,000.00. This will cover the purchase of new train-ing equipment, some of our travel costs, as well as the tournament entrance fees for coaches and competitors.

The Massdojo Team has trained 30 National Champions and has amassed over 300 medals since 2008. In 2013 alone the Team had 7 new National Champions and in 2014 we had 5 National Champions. There have been almost 30 news stories written about the Massdojo Team in the past 6 years.

Any amount you’re willing to donate will be greatly appreciated by all of the children! For their hard work, dedication, courage, and talent they deserve every penny they can get. I hope to hear from you soon and thank you for your time.

Our traditional Shotokan style karate dojo, locally owned in Shrewsbury and Westford, MA, is committed to providing families with a positive experience in the Traditional Japanese Martial Arts.

The high level of respect, children’s self-confidence and encouraging learning atmosphere is evident immediately upon observing a class. Our Sensei, a five- time National Champion, is training a group of young adults and children for the USA-NKF National Karate Championship to be held this July in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Kids and adults from towns such as Shrewsbury, Westborough, Worcester, Southborough, Northborough, Acton, Littleton, Westford, Chelmsford, Maynard, Ayer, Concord and Boston will be representing Massachusetts in the largest traditional karate tournament sanctioned by the United States of America – The National Karate Foundation. The 2015 team is comprised of 30 children and adults. This year’s national competition is sure to be the most exciting one yet. The sport of Karate is being considered for entry into the 2024 Olympic Games and The USA-NKF National Karate Championship is a sanctioned event by the only governing body linked directly to the U.S. Olympic Committee. Please kindly consider becoming a proud sponsor of the Massdojo National Karate Team. It can cost several thousand dollars for the athletes and coaches to travel and participate in The National Karate Championships. Your support will help the team coaches travel to Ft. Lauderdale and represent our great state.
