• Celebrate International day of disabled persons on 3rd December every year. The campaign is all about awareness of ability of the differently abled.

Get in touch with schools for the differently-abled and organise the following activities…

Physical / Wheelchair bound children :Football/basketball/table tennis/pin bowling matches for wheelchair bound. This can be done as a mini tournament with medals from the regalia (made specially for this event). Wheelchair marathons can be arranged.

Blind Children :

•A dance competition/talent show can be arranged for blind children, and you can invite eminent dance/theatre personalities to give away the regalia medals. (made specially for this event).

•Blind car rally, an existing format done by several tables/circles across LC India. Give away trophies and regalia medals. Make it a huge publicity event ! Invite eminent blind personalities in your city to give away prizes.

•Blind chess competition. Speak to the Blind schools and organize it with their assistance.

• Drawing competition esp. for those blind children who can paint with their hands and feet. Give away medals to all the participants with small goodie bags. You may also auction the artworks and in turn donate the proceeds to the blind school! Invite eminent painters in your city and request them to lend their name to the auction as a supporter/ or donate a painting of theirs for you to auction.

Hearing Impaired Children :•A dance competition can be arranged for hearing impaired children, and you can invite eminent dance/theatre personalities to give away the medals. Similar to LC 27’s annual event ‘Hidden Talent’•Plays/ theatre/mime by children who cannot hear. Recognize the children who performed with regalia medals.

Common activities for all children who are differently abled.• Carnival for differently abled children/children suffering from down syndrome, etc. • Clay modelling competition. You may auction the various crafts.• Movie shows for the differently abled, simple animation movies or especially if your city has the 7D cinemas.

Special medals for this event can be purchased from Regalia for any of the above activities. We have 3 categories of medals Gold, Silver and Bronze.

by their Area Chairpersons at their Area events !
