IMED DE FIESTA
Entrepreneurship is the practice of starting new businesses generally in response to identified
opportunities. Entrepreneurs are the role model for the society and the whole world as they have
an art of creating and innovating things. They can find 100 ways to solve a particular problem
and identify different opportunities in any field.
To give one of the opportunities to the students, Institute of management and Entrepreneurship
Development, Pune organized IMED De Fiesta on 4th
March 2020. The event was started in the

The event was started with the inauguration by ribbon cutting ceremony by our Hon‟ble director,

About 30 volunteers participated in this event. The main aim behind organizing such event was
to make students know the business skills and let them show their different abilities to make their
customers buy their products or come to their stalls. This was a good way of learning for them.
This one day experience of being an entrepreneur or a businessman make them know their
marketing skills as well as the behavior of different customer.

SELF DEFENSE WORKSHOP As said by Rorion Gracie, “Self-defense is not just a set of techniques; it's a state of mind, and it
begins with the belief that you are worth defending.”
Keeping this in mind, a self defence workshop was conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed
to be University), IMED, Pune on 5th March, 2020. The workshop was conducted from 4:30 pm
and continued till 5:30 pm at BVDU volleyball ground. We had two guest trainers amongst us
Mr. Sachin Mahajan and Mr. Madhav Jori. They have an experience of more than 20 years in the
same field.
It was a very beneficial and interesting workshop where students and teachers of IMED actively
participated. The workshop was attended by about 50 girls and 10 boys. They were taught some
basic moves of martial arts and judo karate such as some punches, chops and kicks. They also
taught us some defending tactics. The girls definitely got to learn a lot from the workshop. It also
taught them that they need not be dependent on anybody for their protection, they themselves are
enough for that.
Self-defence not only allows us to tangibly defend ourselves against physical attacks, it also
sparks various benefits to us in everyday life. Important values and principles can be learned,
such as hard work, dedication, and perseverance, as well as the importance of maintaining
personal relationships.
It was a great workshop which gave lots of learning to the girls to protect themselves from the
demons in our country.

asked to prepare Digital posters for the Prevention of AIDS.
The objective behind organizing such activity was with the modern technology, volunteers will
try to make innovative posters with the help of computers and it will help them improve their
creativity in computer skills. Another motive behind this was to make them read about this
disease, facts and prevention of such disease while preparing posters. This is a issue that is
mostly ignored as people hesitate talking about such problems openly. This will help our
younger generation to know something that they should be aware of.
Volunteers submitted various creative digital posters and they also came to learn about different
