Atwo day Workshop on "Krishi Mahotsava 2014" wasorganized at JNKVV, Jabalpur from 30-31 August, 2014.Prof. V.S. Tomar, Vice Chancellor, JNKVV, Jabalpur,Dr. Rajesh Rajora, Principal Secretary, Government ofMadhya Pradesh,
Dr. P.K. Mishra, Director Extension Services, Scientists,Program Coordinators of KVKs, Project Directors fromATMA Project were present on the occasion. Package ofpractices for agronomical and horticultural crops wereprepared in the workshop.
Krishi Mahotsava was organised by Government ofMadhya Pradesh from 25 September to 20 October,2014. Scientists of KVK Jabalpur took active part andcovered 750 villages by intensive visits for 26 days.
During the Mahotsava, 225 and 7 atPanchayat and block level were organised respectively.More than one lakh farmers were benefitted with theadvanced technologies of various crops. Literatureprepared on different aspects of soil health, cropproduction and protection were made available to thefarmers. Likewise, other 19 KVKs under JNKVV alsotransferred agricultural and allied technologies in theirrespective districts at panchayat level.
Farmers' Fair was organized at Balaghat on 14September, 2014, in which, farmers were made awareabout the latest technologies of agriculture and allieddiscipline.

State Level Workshop was organized at JNKVV,Jabalpur on 17 December, 2014. Vice Chancellor, Prof.Vijay Singh Tomar and Officers of the University werepresent along with the Officers of the Department ofFarmer's' Welfare and Agricultural Development,Government of MP.
The improved technologies forproduction of various crops, vegetables andvermicompost production were demonstrated under“ at KVK, Jabalpur.Vice Chancellor, Prof. V.S. Tomar, Dr. S.K. Rao, DeanFaculty of Agriculture, Dr. P.K. Mishra, DES and otherdignitaries observed farm waste and city garbageutilization in vermi-compost production. More than 2500farmers visited to see the demonstration. Similarly,technology demonstrations on agriculture and allieddisciplines are laid in other KVKs, which are being visitedby the farmers and farm women.

Mukhyamantri Khet Teerth Yojana
organized on 22 December 2014 at KVK Jabalpur. Theprogramme was inaugurated by Dr. Anupam Mishra,Zonal Project Director, Zone-VII as Chief Guest underthe chairmanship of Dr. P.K. Mishra, Director ExtensionServices. More than 160 participants including farmersand staff of Department of Agriculture, Department ofHorticulture, students and scientists were participated inthe programme. Sixteen farmers has registered the oldvarieties during the programme.
Two days training programme was organized topromote Agroforestry Production System under TSP on23-24 December, 2014 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra,Jabalpur. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. P.K.Mishra, Director Extension Services as Chief Guest.Dr. N.N. Pathak, Prof & Head, Dept. of Forestry chairedthe programme. Sixty tribal farmers of Kundam blockwere participated in the programme who were providedwith seasonal seedling to grow under Ecalyptus trees.

During July to November, 2014, 3384 farmers and 26farmers' team visitedATIC for solution of various problemrelated to seeds, diagnostic and advisory service. Theybought technical literature worth Rs. 64155/-. Apart fromthe visits, 251 telephone calls from the farmers wereattended for different queries related to agriculture andallied disciplines. Farmers were benefited throughtwenty one radio programs during the period, which wererecorded for ' 'program and were broadcasted from All India Radio-Jabalpur between 7.20 pm to 8.00 pm.
