FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 21, 2018 NATIONAL SALUTE TO AMERICA’S HEROES PRESENTED BY HYUNDAI OFFERS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE THIS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The National Salute to America’s Heroes presented by Hyundai is only days away with all the action taking place between 11 th and 14 th Streets on Miami Beach and in Lummus Park just east of Ocean Drive. The National Salute to America’s Heroes presented by Hyundai is on May 26-27, 2018 and is comprised of the Hyundai Air & Sea Show (10 a.m.-12 p.m. – Water Demonstrations, 12-4 p.m. – Hyundai Air & Sea Show) and the Music Explosion presented by Hyundai on the Altec Lansing Stage (Saturday night only from 6-10 p.m.). All events are FREE to the public. This patriotic event has something for families and visitors to South Florida alike. While there is action in the water, world-class military equipment in the sky, and even some descending from the planes and helicopters – there is plenty of excitement on the beach. “The Display Village offers more than just food, beverages and restrooms, it gives our patriotic fans the opportunity to get up close to some remarkable military equipment and meet active-duty servicemen and women, plus first responders,” said Mickey Markoff, National Salute to America’s Heroes Executive Producer. “From the Hyundai cars to the helicopters, planes, boats and tactical vehicles, there is more than enough to keep everyone entertained and taking pictures. Plus, this year, we’ve added the Action Zone with the STIHL Timberworks Lumberjack Show and the Monster Energy Keith Sayers KSFMX Freestyle Motocross demo team.” The Display Village/Action Zone is open 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, May 26-27, 2018 and is between 11 th and 14 th Streets, east of Lummus Park. The Hyundai displays include the new Kona with innovations in motor vehicle technology. iHeartMedia Miami, radio and broadcast partners of the National Salute to America’s Heroes presented by Hyundai, hosts interactive social media content and contests throughout the weekend. Additionally patriotic corporate sponsors also have booths throughout the Display Village. The military and first responders have held nothing back bringing interactive exhibits allowing fans to get up close with equipment and specialists. At the Timberwork’s Lumberjack Show, audiences are captivated by the “hot saw” as chainsaws slice through logs in just seconds. Plus, there is the axe throw, log rolling, speed climb, chopping contests and much more. When fans don’t hear the sound of chainsaws they will hear the sound of motorcycles as the Keith Sayers KSFMX team takes to the air in ramp-to-ramp jumps including the “Kiss of Death” and “Cliffhanger” and other extreme acts of high-flying excitement. -MORE-

The Music Explosion presented by Hyundai lights up Saturday night from 6-10 p.m. as DJ Irie is joined by Kent Jones, MAX and headliner Shaggy. The show also features a tribute to military and first responder heroes with music by Max Impact, the United States Air Force band and a performance by the Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team. As the grand finale, the U.S. Army Golden Knights descend from the sky in a night-pyro parachute demonstration. Patrons at the show can listen to interviews and a live broadcast of the event from 12-4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday on WIOD-AM or through the iHeart Media Miami App. Fans can win special tickets into a preferred seating area through any of the iHeart Media Miami radio stations contest announcements or by visiting the www.usasalute.com website.
