Dear Reader,
SECRETARY
Dear Reader,
PRINCIPAL
The Academic Year 2013-2014
had been highly successful. During
the year our teachers had published
more than 140 Research Articles in
various National and International
Journals.
Apart from that our Teachers presented more than
90 papers in Seminars and Workshops conducted by
Universities and Colleges.
The year saw the spectacular Science Exhibition
conducted for the benefit of School Children. Nearly 8000
school students attended the exhibition.
Five of our faculty attended International
Conferences, presented papers and brought laurels to our
College during the year. Seven Teachers qualified themselves
for Doctorates.
Every department worked hard in organizing special
meetings, Seminars and Workshops for the benefit of the
students. Sports activities and co-curricular activities
improved greatly during the year. The NCC and NSS wings
conducted a lot of programmes. All put together it was a
gratifying year.
My appreciation to the Principal and all the Teachers
who were responsible for these achievements during the last
academic year. I encourage everyone of them to sustain their
efforts so that the college can reach greater heights of glory.
There was a flurry of academic,
research, co-curricular and sports
activities in the last academic year.
20 research scholars and 7
teachers of our college were
awarded Ph.D degree. 140 research papers were published
by staff and scholars of the college. Students' performance in
the End Semester Examinations has also greatly improved.
In order to improve the teaching - learning process
and to communicate faster with students and staff a common
addressing system (Audio), connecting all the class rooms
and laboratories with the Principal's room, has been recently
installed.
A room in the Chemistry Department has been
renovated and the Physical Chemistry Laboratory has been
established there. The Geo Chemistry Laboratory in the
Geology Department has also been renovated. A research
laboratory for crystal growth has been established in the
department of Physics. A new instrument namely “Flow
cytometer” has been procured for the common
instrumentation facility to support researchers in the field of
Biological sciences. The instrument is now available only in
our college in the central region of Tamilnadu. Many research
scholars and staff from colleges in and around Tiruchirappalli
come and use the common instrumentation facility of our
college. I am sure that the college will be a model for colleges
in and around this region in the field of research and
development.
TH95 COLLEGE DAY
th95 College day celebrations were held on
7.04.2014. Mrs. Praba Sridevan, High court Judge
(Retd.,) Madras High court was the Chief Guest . Our
college secretary Thiru.K.Raghunathan welcomed the
gathering. Principal Dr.K.Anbarasu presented the Annual
Report for the year 2013-14.
The Chief Guest, during the college day address,
expressed her deep desire to see how an Aadarsh Indian
would be like. The Aadarsh Indian would raise his voice
against corruption without fear and prejudice against the
persons of any stature. She expressed her wish that the
students who would go out of the college should go with a
comprehensive growth in them.
“Stealing a thing from a person is not the only act of
thievery, Jumping the queue, throwing garbage on the street,
not following the traffic signals etc. are also acts of thievery”,
she said. She wanted the students to protect the
environment, especially the forest cover in order to keep the
earth as the habitable place. Aadarsh Indian, like Mahatma
Gandhi, should learn good habits, straight forwardness,
humility etc. from their parents and lead flawless life. She
also wanted the teachers to improve their knowledge and
educate the students right from the entry into the college till
the completion of the graduation besides teaching them good
habits.
She advised the students to choose good friends and
continue to have friendship till the end. Friends are always
persons of solace and with them only you can share both your
joys and sorrows. She also advised the students to have
friendship without any gender difference and to maintain
good and decent relation with each other.
The Chief Guest distributed medals and prizes to the

OLD BOYS ASSOCIATION
Nacofest the grand, gala inter collegiate cultural st ndfestival was held in our college on the 21 and 22 February
2014. The event was inaugurated by Kalaimamani Thiru
V.K.T Balan, Managing Director of Madura Travels,
Chennai. In a moving and inspiring speech marked by
candor, humour, and contagious enthusiasm, the dynamic
doyen of the travel industry explained the principles of
success. The real life story of the Chief Guest who ran away
from home at a young age with little education but with a
strong drive/fire in the belly to get out of the clutches of
poverty plunged the audience into palpable silence. The first
person account of how he took shelter in a railway platform,
how he was chased away by a constable, the subsequent
trials and tribulations and how he reached the dizzy heights of
success was presented with passion. The moving story left
many hundreds of eyes moist and hearts heavy.
students were enthralled by the beauty of the magic and
enlightened by the inspirational principles.
Mr.S.Ramamurthy, a devoted music teacher and
voice trainer presented the poignant story of a young child
who was found to be a little dull among the students. Just to
inject enthusiasm, Mr.Ramamurthi taught a few beats on the
drum. The child displayed an uncanny ability to learn and
soon started playing with boundless passion. Citing the
example, he exhorted the students to explore the hidden
skills and sharpen them with devotion. Amidst applause, he
sang a song sung by SPB for which music was scored by him.
He explained how the matchless melody master was keen on
singing the song strictly in accordance with the notes and
demands of the music director.
Nacofest is a fascinating festival which brings
together the young talent across colleges. As many as 20
competitions with exotic names such as Kavi charal (tamil
poetry), sangae muzhangu (tamil oratorical contest),
navarasa chitthan (Mimicry) were held. Enthusiatic
participants from more than 50 colleges made the events
spectacular, vibrant, novel and gripping. The folk dance
performed by the students of Cauvery college was a show-
stopper. The fast paced western dance by students of Holy
Cross heightened the tempo of the event and made even the
onlookers to boogie. The carnatic vocal by the students of
Kalaikaveri and Govt.Music College, Tiruvaiyaru, kept the
audience spell bound. The drama by students of Rover
College, a poignant and powerful portrayal of the
emancipation of women reasonated well with the audience.
The content and delivery evoked a spontaneous standing
ovation.
The valedictory function was presided over by the
doyen of drama, Mr.Muthu Velazhagan, popular script
writer and director who has served the cause of Tamil drama
for more than 60 years. He regretted the neglect of drama as
an art form and exhorted the youngsters to nourish the
powerful medium which can take many forms such as stage
plays and street plays. It can kindle creativity and convey
messages powerfully across diverse audiences.
Mr.E.V.Ganesh Babu, Actor and Film Director offered
felicitations. The Principal of the College Dr.K.Anbarasu
presided. Dr.V.Ramkumar, Coordinator, Nacofest proposed a
vote of thanks.
The inauguration was followed by a Pattimandram
on “What do the youth seek the most-Knowledge or Wealth?”
There were fireworks. Every strong argument of both the
sides was supported by the audience with thunderous
applause. There were quick repartees, interesting anecdotes,
humorous responses and mild personal innuendoes. The
timely interjections and interventions of the moderator, the
venerable veteran, Dr. S. Sathyaseelan elicited interlligent
responses from the speakers adding more zing to the
discussion. The innovative motivational programme of
Mr.Rajesh Fernando was an instant hit with the youth.
Every act was well conceived to present a message. The

Rajaji Memorial
Endowment Lectures
Mr. N. Ram, Chairman, Kasturi and sons
limited delivered Rajaji Memorial Endowment lecture on
10.12.2013 on Relevance of Rajaji's thought in the
present day politics. Principal Dr. K. Anbarasu presided
over the meeting. Mr. N.L.Raja, Council member, introduced
the Chief Guest and offered felicitations.
Chakravarthi Rajagopalachari was far ahead of his
peers on big ticket ideas on communalism, federalism,
nuclear disarmament and conduct of the media in a
crystallizing society all of which are relevant in today's
political environment, the chief guest said. Observing that the
country today lacked leaders of the kind of Rajaji, Mr.Ram
said the statesman's political thought and idea had no
shyness and shone through to promote friendship and
communal harmony. Having a grasp of the pluralistic nature
of Indian Civilisation, Rajaji never shied away from dealing
wi th communal ism. Observ ing that assert ing
majoritarianism was the worst crime, Rajaji strived for
inclusive growth. That was reflected in his wish for deepening
trade and economic relations with Pakistan. He knew the
ways of dealing with linguistic and ethnic groups and religious
minorities, Mr. Ram Said.
He said communalism was being used as a political
mobilization strategy. Rajaji would have never stomached the
butchering of Sikhs in 1984 and the Gujarat Pogrom against
Muslims in 2002. Rajaji was for a progressive centre-state
relationship arguing that it was crucial for a healthy federal
establishment. No other leader before and after
Independence came closer to Rajaji in respect of his
understanding of the horrors of a nuclear catastrophe and the
need for a comprehensive nuclear disarmament, Mr. Ram
said.
Although Rajaji's political thought had faded in
public perception and knowledge, his big ticket ideas were
still relevant in today's politics, Mr. Ram said. Dr.K.
Srinivasan, Associate Professor, Department of English
proposed a vote of thanks.

“Science, Engineering, Industry and Markets”. “Symbiotic
relationship between science and engineering is the reality of
modern knowledge society”, he said.
Many new scientific discoveries have been made
possible because of the new-age engineering products that
have revolutionized observation and measurement.
Similarly, many new engineering products are the result of
scientific research and discoveries, he said.
Complimentary nature of science and engineering is
systemized and understood better by mathematics. That's
why the U.S emphasizes on STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics), he said. Outlining the
development of modern industries and businesses, Mr. Rajan
said that one of the sources for the growth of businesses was
through innovations ushered into the markets by science,
technology, and engineering.
Listing out solutions for the growth of the country,
he suggested that a massive environmental movement be
taken up from local-level, starting from cleanliness drive,
waste management to protection of lakes and water bodies.
Dr.K.Anbarasu, Principal presided over the meeting.
Prof.S.X.Prabhu vice principal proposed a vote of thanks.

Speaking on the occasion, she recollected the
ground-breaking lecture of Rabindranath Tagore in 1907 on
Visva-sahitya which he translated as 'comparative literature'
and not as 'world literature'. Since then theories have
proliferated and various methodologies have been advocated
for a rigorous study of comparative literature. Earlier the
focus was on the influence of one author/text on another and
the reception of a work from one language in other
languages. Now, she felt, with the advent of multiculturalism
there were different kinds of writings which positioned
themselves in adversarial manner to European models of
writing. However, she recollected with concern the fall in
linguistic competence as comparative literature was being
taken over by translation. Towards the end of her lecture, Dr.
C.T. Indra found common ground between comparative
literature and cultural studies which she hoped would
revitalize the discipline and energize each other.
The Principal of the college, Dr. K. Anbarasu,
welcomed the gathering and explained the various initiatives
taken by the college to improve the overall quality of
education offered by the college. Such lecture series besides
being informative always kindled the thinking process of the
students and teachers, he felt. Dr. D.E.Benet, Associate
Professor of English and coordinator of the program, thanked
the participants, the college management and the guest
speaker for making the lecture program a purposeful
academic exercise.
Principal Saranathan guided the affairs of the
college for nearly three decades during the pre-
independence and post-independence years. His sacrificial
and visionary life had transformed the college to an
institution of higher learning. In order to commemorate
Principal Saranathan's services and perpetuate his memory,
the college management has instituted an annual lecture
program to which persons of scholarly eminence are invited
as guest speakers. The third lecture of the series was held on
20.03.2014. Dr. C.T. Indra, formerly Professor and
Head of the Department of English, Madras University,
Chennai, gave this Year's lecture under the title
“Comparative Literature: Towards Cultural Studies”.

the changing contours of banking.
Dr.R.M. Chidambaram , Former Professor and
Head, Department of Banking Management, Alagappa
University explained the recent trends in banking. The
Capital Adequacy norms impose constraints on resource
mobilization and the problem of bad debts looms large in the
banking sector. Further, reduction in interest rates suffered or
deposits dented the desire to save: Savings culture may be
adversely affected leading to a slow down in capital
formation. Bank deposits may loose their sheen as an avenue

Three Day Symposium on
Dr. A.S.D. Pillai, Professor of English & Former
Dean of Humanities and Sciences, Parisutham
Institute of Technology and Science, Thanjavur,
remarked: “Literary Studies has become intertwined with
Cultural Studies. The burden is on the researcher to carve out
his research field after conducting a proper survey. In the
absence of a national data base on research in English
studies, much of our research becomes senseless duplication
and in fact contributes nothing original towards quality
research”. He wanted the research scholars to be alert and to
avoid all forms of plagiarism which dog higher research
leading to doctoral degree. Ms. S. Senthamaraiselvi, Head of
the Department of English, welcomed the gathering and Dr.
D.E.Benet, Coordinator of the Symposium, spoke on the
theme of the symposium. He told the participants to break
free from their traditional mindset towards research and
make use of the possibilities and the resources available to
explore even unchartered territories. Principal Dr.
K.Anbarasu, in his presidential remarks, explained the
importance of research and how quality research could add
value to both individuals and institutions. Dr. V. Srividya,
Assistant Professor of English, proposed a vote of thanks.
Dr. C.N. Srinivasan, formerly Assistant
Professor, College of Arts, Sultan Qaboos University,
Oman, spoke on the topic “Back to the Rough Ground:
Scholarship of Teaching.” He stressed the importance of
Action Research in Language Teaching and said, “Action
research begins when the researcher decides to address a
problem, investigate an issue, or pose and answer questions
in his or her own context”.
His talk was followed by two postprandial talks. Dr.
Angayarkan Vinayaka Selvi, Associate Professor of
English, “ Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli,
gave a clear exposition on the topic “Third Wave Feminism”
and told the assembled scholars the need to constantly
update one's knowledge and examine the relevance of
Western theories before applying them to the Indian texts.
The final talk of the day was given by Dr. Catherin Edward,
Vice-Principal and Associate Professor of English, Holy
Cross College, Tiruchirappalli, She explained the nitty-
gritty of research in such a lucid style that the session turned
out to be interactive. Answering the queries of the
participants with patience, she explained the nuances and
mechanics of writing a research paper. She averred that a
The Postgraduate and Research Department of th thEnglish organized a three day symposium from 6 to 8 of
March 2014 on New Vistas of Research in English
Studies to bring back intellectual rigour and disciplinary
vigour among the scholars spread across the state. The
symposium brought together some forty research
supervisors, two hundred research scholars and another
thirty prospective researchers for deliberations on
interdisciplinary research, avoiding plagiarism, and
generating original critical thoughts. Inaugurating the thsymposium on the 6 of March, 2014.

complete knowledge of research methodology would save a
researcher from all future pitfalls.
The second day of the symposium began with Dr. R.
Elavarasu, Associate Professor of English, welcoming the
participants and giving a recap of the previous day's events.
The first in the series of speakers for that day was Dr. R.
Palanivel, formerly Professor of English, Institute of
Distance Education, University of Madras, Chennai. He
spoke on the topic “Is Character Still a Lost Cause?
Perspectives from the Sciences.” He tried to show how
technology had intervened in human lives and how it altered
our perception of reality. ”In this Post-human world, science
has created parallel universes which are beyond human
imagination,” he noted with interest.
Dr. K. Ganesh, Associate Professor of English,
Madras Christian College, Tambaram, Chennai, spoke
next on the topic “Literature and Film An Interface.” Giving a
good number of examples from films and literary texts, he
pointed out the semiotic possibilities available before the
researcher. He asked the researchers to move away from the
traditional way of analysing the literary texts alone. “Films
which are also cultural products like literary texts offer a
plethora of genres for the researchers to focus on,” he
claimed. The next speaker Dr. R.V. Ram, Professor of
English, SASTRA University, Srinivasa Ramanujan
Campus, Kumbakonam, spoke on the topic “Working with
Theory”. “Theory can mystify and bamboozle a researcher,
but it provides the base for any credible literary study,” he told
the researchers. He gave practical tips on choosing a theory
and working with it. His short but information packed lecture
proved to be an eye opener for many a budding scholar.
The first session in the afternoon belonged to Dr.
Abdul Mohammed Ali Jinnah, Associate Professor of
English, Jamal Mohamed College, Trichy. His talk on
“New Directions in Diasporic Literature” was full of examples
from the texts and he explained how to treat even minor
episodes as worthy of critical attention. Spicing up his talk
with humour, he informed the audience that the diasporic
literature was full of queer characters found in alien
atmosphere yet they were worth the study as they were a
rich combination of tragic and comic spirits.
The last plenary speaker for the second day was Dr.
S. Senthilnathan, Assistant Professor, Department of
Educational Technology, Bharathidasan University,
Trichy. The listeners were absolutely Riveted by his talk
titled “Digital Humanities” which was further amplified by a
brilliant slide show. Talking about digital age learners, he
expressed the need to create digital age pedagogy as the
digital age environment kept changing. Elaborating on Marc
Prensky's concepts of Digital Natives and Digital Immigrants,
he encouraged the new crop of digital age teachers to define
the role of technology in teaching and in the classroom. Ms.
Gowri Priya Aanand, Assistant Professor of English, rounded
off the lectures with a sincere vote of thanks.
The last day of the symposium started with Mr. S.
Saravanan, Assistant Professor of English, welcoming the
gathering. Dr. F. Abdul Rahim, formerly Professor and
Head of the Department of English, Annamalai
University, Chidambaram, spoke on the topic “Writing a
Dissertation: Some Guidelines”. Research scholars found
the session very useful as he showed them how writing a
research proposal and even grammar skills were important in
the writing of a dissertation.
His talk was followed by a spirited talk by
Dr.U.Sumathy, Associate Professor of English,
Government Arts College (Autonomous), Coimbatore,
an ardent environmentalist. In her talk titled “Ecocriticism as
a Research Domain,” she highlighted the importance of being
receptive to new domains of research. “Ecocriticism is not
merely a consciousness raising exercise but a conscience
raising moral and literary activity,” she asserted. Citing
profusely from ancient classics, she pointed out how
conservation ethics was part of our life style all along. She
was followed by Ms. C. Sujatha, Librarian, Fatima
College, Madurai. She in her own inimitable style explained
the various library resources available to a modern day
researcher and introduced the audience to hitherto
unexplored domains on the internet. She also briefly
narrated her experience as a librarian at SCILET at The
American College, Madurai.
The Valedictory Function in the afternoon was
graced by Principal Dr. K. Anbarasu and Vice-Principal Mr.
S.X. Prabhu. Dr. Jayanthasri Balakrishnan, Associate
Professor of English, PSG College of Arts and Science,
Coimbatore, in her valedictory address chose to speak on
“Translation as Creative Literature”. She reminded the
audience to develop love for languages and do constant
research on words from any language. “Ultimately, it is the
love for languages and literatures that would forge our
sensibilities,” she opined categorically. Dr. K. Shanthi,
Assistant Professor of English, Bishop Heber College, Trichy,
gave the feedback on behalf of the audience. Dr. D.E. Benet,
Associate Professor of English and convenor of the
symposium, remembered all those who helped him
physically and otherwise with a grateful heart and thanked
the invisible players for their unconditional moral support.

Association Meetings
Department of Biotechnology
The Department of Biotechnology of our college in
association with Mothercell Regenerative Centre and Maruti
Hospital conducted a Continuous Medical Education
(CME) on Stem Cells in Clinical Applications on
09.03.2014. Prof. K. Anbarasu, Principal of our College
welcomed the gathering. The theme of the CME program was
“Isolation and processing of Stem cells from human for
Clinical Application” and also to spread the awareness of stem
cell applications among students of medicine as well as Life
science, said Dr. V. R. Ravi, Director, Mother Cell
Regenerative Centre. Indian Medical Association's
President Dr. Ashraf was the guest of honour. Dr. S.
Sankaranarayanan of Kauvery Hospital introduced the
speakers to the gathering. Dr. Raj Kumar of Madras Medical
College presented his work on autologous bone marrow
derived stemcells for the research and treatment of Diabetic
foot Ulcers and Smokers Disease (TAO) the commonest
causes for most of the amputations doctors do. Dr. R
Secunda, Stem cell faculty, Stanley Medical College
said that she could treat diseased conditions that were not
curable with the help of stem cells and particularly liver
related diseases. Dr.R.Secunda presented a paper entiltled
Present and future of stemcells in liver diseases”.
Dr. Chandrasekar, Retd. Prof. from Sri
Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai delivered a
speech on how to use bone marrow concentrate in Avascular
necrosis, delayed and non-union of fractured bones and
osteoarthritis. “The future for patients with osteoarthritis who
would not or cannot undergo joint replacement is bright with
options to induce cartilage regeneration through a
combination of arthroscopy, microfracture, bone marrow
concentrate injection and growth factors, says Dr.
Chandrasekar MS (Ortho). The study hypothesis of STEM
CELLS in Infertility tells how adult bone marrow cells injected
into seminiferous tubules or interstitial spaces were not only
able to differentiate into germ cells (spermatogonia and
spermatocytes) but also into Sertoli and Leydig cells. This
finding may be of clinical relevance to the unique treatment of
male infertility. The ability to derive male germ cells from
13
bone marrow cells opens the possibilities for use of these cells
in reproductive medicine mainly male infertility, says Prof. Dr.
Vidya Ravi MD DGO, Dept. of O & G, Govt. Villupuram medical
College.
Since autologous Bone marrow cells can do the job
acceptance which is good as it is from the same person.
Patients wait for 4 to 5 years at L.V. Prasad Eye Institute,
Hyderabad for limbal stem cell therapy. Nowadays with
spreading of knowledge and awareness, limbal stem cell
transplants along with amniotic membrane as scaffold is
being done by us at Govt. Medical College hospitals says
Prof. Dr. J. Gnanaselvan MS (Opthal) currently Prof. of
Opthalmology at Tanjore Medical College. With eye
donation campaigns by Lions Club & other NGOs the huge gap
between demand and supply is reducing. Still Limbal stem
cell therapy can eliminate the waiting list of blind people,
hopefully. Dr. M.A. Akbarsha, Director & Chair of
Mahatma Gandhi DorenKamp Centre for animal
alternatives, Bharathidasan University says, stem cells
attracted a few other applications of which one is to develop in
vitro models for drug delivery and risk assessment for
humans using human-derived models since animal testing
has been “the most practiced modality” and “the gold
standard” for these domains. Stem cell derived models have
the perfect potential to replace animal testing and thus
overcome all the flaws and limitations there-in. He
recommended the participants to get properly trained in Cell
Culture Techniques so as to involve themselves actively in
research and for employment opportunities.
After the lunch, the participants were taken to the
Biotechnology laboratory of National College, wherein they
were given a demonstration of the stem cell extraction
process from different sources such as adipose tissue, tooth
pulp, umbilical cord etc. All these activities were performed in
a sterile cell culture facility of the biotech lab and participants
watched all these activities live through a camera and
projection system by sitting in the adjacent room. Dr. Avinash
of MCRC and the students of MSc Biotechnology programme
of National College carried out the demonstration
experiments for the participants. Dr. V.R. Ravi, MCRC, Trichy
and Dr. M.S. Mohamed Jaabir, Asst. prof. of Biotechnology of
National College, Trichy held the laboratory demonstration
for the participants and interacted with the participants
during the question hour.
To bring awareness about Stem Cell Research
among the student participants of Biotechnology and Medical
stream, photo exhibition, poster presentation and quiz
programmes were conducted. Photo exhibition carried the
theme “Ill effects of tobacco”. Students displayed a number of
photographs depicting the effect of Tobacco on anatomical
features of the human beings and the various preventive
measures. The poster presentation carried the theme 'Stem
cells Hope/Hype' and the Quiz focused on the theme of cell
culture techniques. In the quiz programme I prize of Rs. 2000
cash award was bagged by Srimad Andavan College, Trichy,
II prize of Rs. 1000 was bagged by Bon Secours women's
college, Tanjore and III prize of Rs. 500 was bagged by St.
Joseph's college, Trichy. In Poster presentation, I, II and III
prizes were bagged by Vivekanandha College, Trichengode,
Holy Cross College, Trichy and St. Joseph's College, Trichy
respectively. In the photo exhibition/competition, Bon
Secours College, Tanjore was awarded I prize, Holy Cross
College, Trichy, was awarded II prize and Kurinji College,
Trichy was awarded III prize. About 200 participants were
present in the Conference. The participants mentioned that
all the deliberations and laboratory demonstrations were very
much useful to them as they had never had an opportunity to
witness all these before. The ICMR, New Delhi has recently
published the 2013 guidelines for the stem cell research and
the conference is highly relevant in this context.

A programme of bhajan by Mr. Muralikrishna,
Secretary, Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Samithi was held in
the girls' hostel on 20.01.2014. Miss N. Monika II B.Sc.
Geology welcomed the gathering. Mr. Muralikrishna
expressed his feeling about bhajans. He said that when
several people gathered to sing the Glory of God, then the
atmosphere became purified. Mankind, today, is forced to
breathe an atmosphere polluted by sounds that spring from
violence, hatred, greed and wickedness. Singing devotional
songs reminds us that this life is the most valued treasure and
that every moment should be utilized to attain Self
Realization. When songs are rendered by a person who has
been practicing singing for years, there arises in everyone's
mind a capacity to heal the body and to lift the mind out of
depression and leave a feeling of joyfulness. That
is why it is important to integrate the listening and chanting of
bhajans into one's spiritual practice. The mind must be very
pure. That is why we need to listen to Bhajans. Miss A.
Jayalakshmi I B.A. Eng. proposed a vote of thanks. Miss A.
Srima II B.com. was the master of ceremony.
