communities have the opportunities they need to create a better future.
Join us for an afternoon of networking, speakers and attendees that will teach and share how to
help create, sustain build your business. This is the first in an ongoing series of power lunches
and evening forums of our new Consumer Education and Consumer Action Project named after
the Rev. Willie T. Barrow, former aide to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr who taught Dr. King's
economic principles under Dr King's organization Southern Christian Leadership Conference
(SCLC), then under Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. at Operation Breadbasket, Operation PUSH and
Rainbow/PUSH Coalition; and was a longtime mentor to Mark S. Allen, Chairman of National
Black Wall Street Chicago, and former aide to Rev. Jackson. The organization has been funded in
part by donations from Marquette Bank, Citibank (Citi), COUNTRY Financial, Reggio's Pizza, The
Monroe Foundation, and everyday grassroots people!
