Mexico 's national anthem was written by Francisco Bocanegra and Jaime Nuno. The national anthem is one of the three official national symbols of Mexico .

Although known and used as such since 1854 , only it became official since 1943 from a decree issued by President Manuel Avila Camacho.

The words of the hymn , refers to Mexican victories in battle and is about homeland defense . The national anthem invites all Mexicans take their weapons and fight anyone who tried to invade our country.
