colleagues, sponsors, etc. to discuss plans for the 2015 season. The goal is to cut down on the meetings that take place during the program sessions. Please plan to meet during this scheduled time or after the NAICC scheduled events. Researchers without meetings in this block are encouraged to attend the Emerging Technology session.

Be sure to review the Program of Events listing educational sessions during the week. Remember to load the Annual Meeting app to help plan your schedule. Go to www.eventmobi.com/NAICC15 or scan the QR code on this page.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Multiple opportunities are available for pre-convention training. NAICC and several of our faithful Sustaining Members will offer training on Monday, January 19 through Wednesday, January 21. See program for details and times.

Applying GLP Fundamentals for Researchers and Quality Assurance ProfessionalsResearchers and quality assurance professionals have the opportunity to attend a GLP Training session on Tuesday, January 20. The number of attendees is limited to a maximum of 125 individuals so be sure to sign up early on the enclosed form. Training will be divided among three customized modules tailored to the needs of the audience: (see enclosed flyer for details).• Basic GLP Training• Field Application• Advanced GLP Training

Once training modules are full, there will be NO on site registrations.

Continuing Education Units

Consultants will have the opportunity to gain 25 Consultant Education Units (CEUs) through this year’s CPCC program. NAICC has also submitted the preliminary program to various state and national certification programs and associations for CEU credit review. The Quality Assurance portion of the program is being reviewed for CEUs by the Society of Quality Assurance. CEUs awarded for these programs will be announced in the NAICC News, on the NAICC Web site and at registration.

“Reno Tahoe USA... Far From Expected” and the site of the 2015 NAICC Annual Meeting and AG PRO EXPO! What better place to meet than in a city boasting the motto “The Biggest Little City in the World!” That’s just what NAICC members and guests will experience as we gather with 700+ other talented ag professionals…our industry’s greatest and most influential leaders.

The Annual Meeting Coordination Committee -- under the guidance of Debra Keenan, Matt Eich, Kathy Richards and Mark Tumey -- has developed an outstanding program that features timely topics for crop and research consultants and quality assurance personnel.

During the Plenary Session, the 2015 Keynote Address will be given by John Phipps, Illinois farmer and host of the U.S. Farm Report. Phipps’ presentation entitled “What If This Is Normal” will delve into how will general economic conditions, and more importantly, public attitude manifest in the country and what will the changing demographics on the farm mean? With humor and surprising research results, John will help to condense disparate factors into a manageable environment for decision-making. The conclusions may challenge views of how ag should work, but will likely provoke rethinking standard operating procedures.

Also during the Plenary Session, the 2014-2015 NAICC Leadership Program participants will report on their site visits held during October of 2014. Laurie Bennett, Paul Squires and Kara Tyler-Julian will highlight information they gathered while visiting crop consulting and contract research facilities in Arizona, Texas and Louisiana hosted by other NAICC members.

The crop and research consultants will have a joint session on Friday, January 23 covering pollinator issues. Topics include honey bees and bee risk assessments, plus an overview from the California Department of Pesticide Regulations. This is followed by a panel discussion with university and industry experts.

Back by popular demand, a “Networking” block of time has been set aside for researchers on Thursday, January 22, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Researchers can choose to attend the Emerging Technology Session or set up appointments with

NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES

Exhibit Hall ExtravaganzaThe Outgoing President’s Reception and Exhibit Hall Extravaganza will kick off at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, January 22. We’ll join together to pay tribute to NAICC President Gary Coukell as he wraps up his Presidential year. Catch up with peers, meet key industry representatives and learn about new technologies – simply by spending time in the Exhibit Hall. Exhibitors have the opportunity to give away prizes during the evening so be sure to drop off your business card in designated boxes throughout the day and at the beginning of the Extravaganza.

To help ensure exhibitors and attendees have as many opportunities to network as possible, all continental breakfasts, morning and afternoon coffee breaks and receptions will take place in the Exhibit Hall. We have brought back the Exhibitor BINGO showcasing the AG PRO EXPO exhibitors. Attendees who get bingo from exhibitor stamps are eligible for a chance to win one of three $100 VISA Gift Cards.

Every year one of the highlights of this opening evening is the silent auction. Be a part of The Foundation’s Silent Auction by donating and/or taking home one-of-a-kind items from throughout North America! Whether you are providing items for the silent auction or are one of the successful bidders, you are sure to have a great time. Proceeds from the auction go toward instrumental educational programs that benefit our industry at large.

Friday Night Networking “Hoe Down”Come on y’all to the NAICC Hoe Down! The Naples Ballroom will be transformed into the historic town of Virginia City, NV, which is most famous for the Comstock Lode, the world’s most spectacular gold and silver discovery. Here you will discover good food, good music (80s-today hits and, of course, country music) and good time with friends. Test your skills on the mechanical bull ride, at the shooting range, western themed bean bag toss and even a strong man – ring the bell competition. Dress is casual, but feel free to wear your best cowboy and cowgirls duds!

New Members and First TimersWe love our New Members and First Timers! Join NAICC today or sign up your co-workers and they will receive

complimentary registration and meals for the meeting. Just fill out an application, return it with your registration form and mark it NEW MEMBER to take advantage of this great offer.

The New Member and First Timer reception will be held on Wednesday, January 21 at 5:00 p.m. The NAICC Executive Board members, Committee Chairs and Past Presidents will be on hand to welcome you and introduce you around all week. Also, new members are invited to the New Members Boot Camp luncheon on Thursday, January 22 at 12:00 noon. During camp you will learn about the various NAICC committees and who does what. More importantly, you will find out how you can get involved in our organization from the very start.
