Also at the meeting, there were several lots of models for sale - with some model lots also sold by closed auction. Those members who had successful bids can upon payment, arrange to collect their models at the September meeting. The theme for our next meeting is “A theme of my choice” Richard Hebbron’s next planned Annual Hobbies Fair is on 5 th December 2015 from 9.00am to 2.00pm - suggest book your tables with Richard now - 031 4648428. Richard attended and displayed models at the recent Hobby-X Fair held at the ICC. See his article and pics in this newsletter. The theme for our end of year Rod Guérin Annual Diorama Competition in November is “A Movie Scene”. Several members have approached me to consider starting our meetings earlier in the evening - and finishing earlier as well. This is mainly to avoid travelling home later at night. So I suggest that from 30 th November 2015 - and thereafter - we meet at 16:00 for 16:30 ‘til we end. We can discuss these times at our September meeting - and if any members cannot make this time, please let me know. May she rest in peace after a long struggle with illness. Our love and sympathies to George and family. On behalf of NDMC members, I have also passed our condolences and sympathy to George and family. The organisers of Hobby-X approached us recently with a view to NDMC displaying models at their Fair held at the Durban ICC. Below is the report and pics by Richard Hebbron. I had a stand at the Hobby-X on behalf of NDMC. It was a fantastic show and a great loss for those who did not attend. It was extremely well attended on all three days. I made a few contacts of people who had old Dinkys and may be willing to sell. Now waiting for them to get in touch - and if I get any models for sale I will put them on a closed auction. We may also have a few new members amongst the visitors who showed interest in the club, again wait and see what happens at our next meeting.
