RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
2014-present
Betterment Labs, Carleton University.
Supervisor: Dr. Michael J. A. Wohl
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
My research is focused in two areas. The first area examines the link between intergroup
emotions and prejudice. The second area examines transdiagnostic factors that proliferate and
maintain health compromising behaviours. I am also a member of the Gambling Research
Exchange and Training (GREaT) hub in which we provide gambling-oriented knowledge
translation services and training to Gambling Research Exchange Ontario (GREO).
2013-2014
Eating Disorders Clinical and Research Program, Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard
Medical School.
Supervisors: Drs. Kamryn T. Eddy and Jennifer J. Thomas
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
My research focused on the link between overvaluation of body shape/weight and engagement in
maladaptive weight-control behaviours. I was also involved in two other research projects. The
first examined the 22-year weight trajectories of the women with eating disorders. The second
was a meta-analysis of the link between therapeutic alliance and outcome in eating disorders.

My doctoral research focused on the link between university students’ attachment to their social
class background and their expectations of upward social mobility via their studies.

Conducted statistical analyses for the Concordia Longitudinal Retirement Project. The first
project investigated the predictors of cognitive function among recent retirees. The second
project investigated how family-status (having children or not) was related to fluctuations in life
satisfaction and well-being over time among recent retirees.
