ScorBot – ERV:
- Lifting Capacity: 2.2 lbs
- Degrees of Freedom: 3
- Programming Interface: MATLAB
25
- Components: - Igniter - Igniter Housing - Linear Actuator
- 19” Igniter Insertion Distance
- Actuator Shielding Plate
26
1. Scorbot will pick up the sample and insert the sample into the payload bay.
2. Payload bay will secure the payload and close.
3. Tower motor will elevate the rocket sled to the launch position.
4. Igniter insertion device will use a linear actuator to insert the igniter into the rocket motor bore.
5. Rocket ready for launch
27
- All AGSE tests will be full scale - Scorbot will undergo independent payload insertion
testing with a dummy payload - Tower structure will initially undergo elevation testing
without added weight of the rocket - Igniter insertion device will be tested with a dummy
rocket motor - All three components will be tested together once
individual testing is complete 1. Payload insertion. 2. Rocket Erection. 3. Igniter insertion into dummy rocket motor.
