WHAT THE NARRATIVE TEXT?

Purpose (tujuan)

The basic purpose of narrative is to entertain, to get and hold a readersinterest. However narratives can also be written to inform and to deal with actual or vicarious experience in different ways.

Tujuan dasar dari teks narrative adalah untuk menghibur, untuk mendapatkan dan memegang minat pembaca. Namun teks narrative juga dapat ditulis untuk menginformasikan dan berurusan dengan pengalaman nyata atau perwakilan dengan cara yang berbeda.

a text which contains about story (fiction/non fiction/folktales/fables/myths) and its plot consists of climax of the story (complication) then followed by the resolution. A narrative text is a entertain and deal with actual or vicarious.

Once upon a time there lived a little girlnamed Snow White. She lived with her aunt andunclebecause her parents were dead.ORIENTATION

She ran away into the woods. Then she saw alittle cottage. She knocked but no one answeredso sheWent inside and fell asleep. Meanwhile, theseven dwarfs were coming home from work.They went inside. There they found Snow Whitesleeping. Then Snow White woke up.She saw the dwarfs. The dwarfs said, Whatsyour name? Snow White said,My name is Snow White. COMPLICATION

Doc, one of the dwarfs said, If youwish, you may live here with us. SnowWhite said, Oh could I?Thank you. Then Snow White told thedwarfs the whole story and SnowWhite and the seven dwarfslived happily ever after. RESOLUTION

One day she heard her uncle and aunttalking about leaving Snow White in thecastle becausethey both wanted to go to America andthey didnt have enough money to takeSnow White.Snow White didnt want her uncle andaunt to do this so she decided it wouldbe best if she ran away.The next morning she ran away fromhome when her aunt and uncle werehaving breakfast.

PinocchioOnce upon a time, there was a puppeteer named Geppetto. He really wanted a boy but his wife has been died for a long time ago. One day, he had an idea. He wanted to make a puppet so he would never felt lonely again. He made a puppet all night without resting. In the morning, finally he finished his work. He named the puppet, Pinocchio. He played whole day with Pinocchio. However, he felt lonely again because Pinocchio couldn't talk or walk by himself. In the middle of the night, Geppetto prayed to the God. His wish was Pinocchio became a real boy, human. He thought it on his mind in his dream.

The next day, Pinocchio got caught by thieves. The thieves was the owner of circus. Pinocchio became a slave for the circus. He was famous because he was a talking puppet. Geppetto worried him. Pinocchio didn't come home for 2 days. He found Pinocchio everywhere. When he discovered the sea, big wave smashed him. He was on whale's stomach when he awoke. He couldn't find the way out.In different place, Pinocchio finally could get out from circus. He went to home but Geppetto wasn't on there. He found Geppetto at sea. He had the same accident like Geppetto. He met Geppetto in whale's stomach. They got out from its stomach by made a fire.They went home back together. In the end, they lived happy forever after.

In the next morning, he surprised. Pinocchio was alive. He really was happy. He tough Pinocchio how to walk, how to speak, how to read etc. like a teacher. Pinocchio learned fast. He entered an elementary school. One day, Pinocchio felt bored. So, he went home late. Geppetto worried about him. When Pinocchio came to home, Geppetto asked him. He said he was on school but he didn't. Suddenly, Pinocchio's nose grow longer. It meant that Pinocchio lied.

Pinocchiopada suatu hari, ada seorang dalang bernama Geppetto . Dia benar-benar ingin anak laki-laki namun istrinya telah meninggal untuk waktu yang lama . Suatu hari , ia punya ide . Dia ingin membuat boneka sehingga ia tidak akan merasa kesepian lagi. Dia membuat boneka sepanjang malam tanpa istirahat . Di pagi hari , akhirnya ia selesai pekerjaannya . Dia bernama boneka , Pinokio . Dia bermain sepanjang hari dengan Pinokio . Namun, ia merasa kesepian lagi karena Pinocchio tidak bisa bicara atau berjalan sendiri . Di tengah malam , Geppetto berdoa kepada Tuhan . Keinginannya adalah Pinocchio menjadi anak yang nyata , manusia. Dia pikir itu di pikirannya dalam mimpinya .

Pada keesokan harinya , ia terkejut . Pinocchio masih hidup . Dia benar-benar bahagia. Dia tegar Pinocchio cara berjalan , cara berbicara , cara membaca dll seperti guru . Pinocchio belajar cepat. Ia masuk sebuah sekolah dasar . Suatu hari , Pinokio merasa bosan. Jadi , dia pulang terlambat. Geppetto mencemaskannya . Ketika Pinocchio datang ke rumah , Geppetto memintanya . Ia mengatakan ia berada di sekolah tapi dia tidak . Tiba-tiba , hidung Pinokio tumbuh lebih panjang . Ini berarti bahwa Pinokio berbohong

A long time ago there lived a young couple, a man and his wife. His wife was expecting their baby. She wanted a plant that only grew in her neighbor's garden. She wanted it so much.

She even intended to steal it herself, but later on, she sent her husband to steal it.

Unfortunately , mother gothel, the owner of the garden, caught him doing it. She was a witch. Then, mother gothel forced the couple to give their first baby to her.

A few months later, the baby was born. It was a girl and named Rapunzel. Soon, this baby was taken away to live with mother gother. Rapuzel Grew to be a beautiful young girl with her long golden hair. At first she was cared for in a normal way. When she reached puberty, she was loked in a tower so that she would never leave mother gothel. The towel stood in the forest. It could only be entered by climbing on Rapunzel's long hair. To cheer herself up, she loved to sing.One day, a young prince was out hunting. He stumbled

upon the tower. He heard Rapunzel's beautiful voice. He decided that he must meet her. He spied and, by watching mother gothel, learned the words he had to say to have Rapunzel drop heir hair. The prince visited her often and two fell in love.

RAPUNZEL

Then, Rapunzel made a plan to escape from the tower. She wanted to be with the prince. She asked the prince to bring her a skein of silk each time he visited. She might weave a ladder for her escape. Unfortunately, mother gothelcaught on. Then, she banished Rapunzel to the desert.She threw the prince from the tower into a thorny bush. The thorns made the prince blind and he roamed the earth searching for his love.Eventually, they found each other, and the

princes eyes were healed by Rapunzel's tears of happiness.

Dahulu kala hiduplah seorang pasangan muda , seorang pria dan istrinya . Istrinya mengharapkan bayi mereka . Dia ingin tanaman yang hanya tumbuh di kebun tetangganya . Dia begitu menginginkannya .Dia bahkan berniat mencurinya sendiri , tetapi kemudian , ia mengirim suaminya untuk mencurinya .Sayangnya , ibu Gothel , pemilik kebun , menangkapnya

melakukannya . Dia adalah seorang penyihir . Kemudian , ibu Gothel memaksa pasangan untuk memberikan bayi pertama mereka padanya .

There was a fisherman who lived in Batak Land. His name was Batara Guru Sahala.

When he was angling, he caught a fish. He was surprised to find that fish because the fish could talk and it begged to set it free. He did accordingly. After getting free, the fish changed into a beautiful woman and Sahala fell in love with her. Sahala asked her to marry him and the woman received him. However, she asked his promised not to tell anyone the secret that she was once a fish. They were very happily married, and got two daughters. It was a pity on Sahala. One day when he got very angry with his daughters, he forgot hispromise and he broke it. He told his daughters that they were the daughters of a fish. His wife could not forgive him. Suddenly, the earth began to shake and volcanoes started to erupt. The earth cracked and formed a big hole. People said that the hole became Lake Toba.

Legenda Danau Toba

Ada seorang nelayan yang tinggal di Tanah Batak. Namanya Batara Guru Sahala.Ketika ia memancing, ia menangkap ikan. Dia terkejut menemukan bahwa ikan karena ikanbisa bicara dan memohon untuk membebaskannya. Dia melakukan sesuai. Setelah bebas, ikan berubahmenjadi wanita cantik dan Sahala jatuh cinta padanya. Sahala memintanya untuk menikah dengannya danwanita itu menerima dia. Namun, dia meminta dijanjikan untuk tidak memberitahu siapa pun rahasiabahwa dia dulunya ikan. Mereka sangat bahagia menikah, dan punya dua anak perempuan.Itu kasihan pada Sahala. Suatu hari ketika ia menjadi sangat marah dengan putrinya, ia lupa nyajanji dan ia memecahkannya. Dia mengatakan kepada putrinya bahwa mereka adalah putri ikan.Istrinya tidak bisa memaafkannya. Tiba-tiba, bumi mulai gemetar dan gunung berapi mulaimeletus. Bumi retak dan membentuk lubang besar. Orang-orang mengatakan bahwa lubang menjadi Danau Toba.
