Narrative IdeasA collection of simple narrative ideas that will form the content and

enigmas created in my opening.

1• A protagonist with severe memory loss comes to terms with the

crimes they have committed, as they are revealed to them as the narrative progresses. At first they appear to be innocently going along with their life, but eventually it becomes apparent that they have a period of time that is missing from their memory. Clues are revealed as to what happened in that time, before the reveal at the end of the movie, which shows that they are not as innocent as once thought.

2• The narrative follows a protagonist who suffers with post traumatic

stress disorder, which is taken advantage of by a psychopath. The protagonist is mentally scarred from a traumatizing experience when the protagonist was a child, involving the brutal murder of a friend and an attempted abduction. The psychopath from the protagonists childhood was never caught, and now he has returned and is using the protagonist and taking advantage of his mental state, using his weaknesses to make the protagonist become the perpetrator in his evil masterplan.

3• The narrative follows a protagonist trying to live a double life,

balancing his persona of typical family man whilst fulfilling his urges to kill in his spare time. He also lives with severe OCD, which influences the way in which he lives both lives. His OCD becomes so severe that it drives everyone around him to suffer and eventually his wife leaves him, giving him all of his time to devote to his murderous lifestyle. As the time he dedicates to his murders increase, so does the intensity and frequency, until eventually the protagonist becomes uncontrollable and his psychotic persona envelops him comletely.

4• A deranged protagonist struggles with the reality that all they once

had is now lost. The narrative follows the protagonist as they have constant flashbacks of their life when they had a family, and the difficulties that the loss of this lifestyle has on the present day. The flashbacks create a warped reality where it is difficult for the protagonist to tell the difference between what is real and what is not. It is not reveal until the end of the movie that the cause of the loss was due to the psychosis and mental state of the protagonist.
