Background What will the project do? Dredging the Napa River Navigation Channel is required periodically in order to maintain safe navigation of both commercial and recreational vessels.

Overview
The project starts at 3rd St. Bridge in Napa and ends at the confluence with Asylum Slough, and the lower channel that ends just upstream of the HWY 37 Bridge in Vallejo.
Nine feet with an additional one
foot of over depth throughout both the lower and upper channel planned dredge areas.

Disposal Sites The disposal sites that will be utilized in support of this year’s dredging effort will be the Flood District’s Imola 3rd Street site and Napa Pipe.

Noise levels will vary from that of general heavy traffic (78dBA) to hat of general construction equipment (eg. Bulldozer, Hammer, loaders, backhoes) but may peak as high as a jackhammer from large Pipeline cutterhead dredge equipment: up to 100-110 dBA , in audible ~ 500m from dredge.
