Reggio Emilia, 08/11/2013 �e Giovanni Degl’Incerti Tocci scholarship has been established by his son Davide to promote excellence in memory of his father. �e objective is to assign a scholarship to two promising students of Chierici High School of Arts, in collaboration with the manufacturing glasses company Nannini, of which Davide is owner and CEO. �e topic for this current academic year is modern era design of glasses production. �e initiative will focus speci�cally on “SPORTS GLASSES DESIGN”. �e participants will have to develop and create a design for a new model of sports sunglasses. �e projects will have to be handed in to Professor Alberto Artioli by February 15, 2014. COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT Academic Year of 2013-2014 In memory of Giovanni Degl’Incerti Tocci, the glasses manufacturing Italian company Nannini from Reggio Emilia announces a Special Project for the students of Chierici High School of Arts. �e theme of the project is “SPORTS GLASSES DESIGN” and two scholarships will be assigned to the students who will be able to distinguish themselves for their work on the proposed theme. �e glasses manufacturing �eld is always pursuing new talents, new designers who are able to interpret the companies demands, the market needs and to amaze people with original projects. �e target range are sportive men and women who are young, dynamic and love travelling and new challenges! �e aim of this work should be the creation of a new sports glasses design project. It will have to be functional, technological and distinctive. �e participants will be asked to:

1- Analyze the sports glasses market 2- Choose one or more concepts from where to start a research with a focus on mood board and inspiration 3- Propose a design project for the new sports glasses Nannini 4- Emphasize the key strengths of the new product through a well detailed paper

SPECIFICATIONS Front part must not be more than 143 mm long. Temples must not be more than 140 mm long. Degree of curvature of the lenses: Base 6

PRIZES Academic Year 2013/2014

- First place: 1.000 € along with the o�er of a 6 months paid internship

- Second place: 500 € �e projects will be judged by a Commission nominated by Nannini Italian Quality S.r.l. Each candidate must submit his/her project together with a certi�cate of school attendance for the current academic year and a passport photo. All participants will be given a certi�cate of attendance which can be used for recognition of school credits. �e Commission will only examine the projects submitted to the administrative o�ce of the Award by February 15, 2014.
