The purpose of the meeting is to review issues facing the RPC's and the 700 MHzplans, what changes will have to be made as a result of the latest FCC rule changes,and in particular, how these changes affect Region 51. The FCC adopted a regionalplanning approach to spectrum management for specific channels through-out the 700MHZ band. Region 51, Texas includes the counties of Shelby, Nacogdoches, SanAugustine, Sabine, Houston, Trinity, Angelina, Walker, San Jacinto, Polk, Tyler, Jasper,Newton, Montgomery, Liberty, Hardin, Orange, Waller, Harris, Chambers, Jefferson,Galveston, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Austin, Colorado, Wharton and Matagorda.
