Directions to perfect

nails This article will teach you

how to correctly paint your nails without making a huge mess and keeping your nails as healthy as they can be.

First, you will start off by removing any polish you may already have on your nails, especially if your previous polish is chipped or very dark. To remove your polish use a cotton ball or cotton swab and put some nail polish remover (the more acetone the remover contains the faster and easier it is to remove the nail polish).

Once you’ve taken all your polish off fill a bowl with warm soapy water and soak your finger nails (not your hands, just your nails) in the water for 3 to 5 minutes.

After your nials have been soaked take them out of the bowl and dry them. Then use a cuticle stick to push back your cuticles, do this gently and make sure not to push them back to far.

After you have pushed back your cuticles cute your nails to your desired length then file the edges however you like, straight or rounded.

Once you’ve finished that step you can use a 4 way nail buffer to flatten, smooth, buffer, and shine your nails this gives the polish a smooth, clean surface to rest on (this

step is optional.)

Once your nails have been prepped find a basecoat (I recommend OPI’s basecoat) and apply a thin even coat over each of your nails; this will prevent from future chipping and keep the colored polish from dying your finger

nails. After the base coat is completely dry then retrieve your bottle of colored nail polish (make sure to roll it in your hands (don't shake it) to blend completely).

Then Twist open the cap of the bottle and gently drag the brush against the side of the bottle, getting rid of excess paint. Once you have removed any excess paint Place one side of the brush a little bit away from the cuticle, (if you put it right against the cuticle it will stick to your cuticle and when you go to take it off there will be a thin line of nail polish left.) Then drag the polish toward the free edge of the nail in a thin coat (make sure to do this in a fluid movement to prevent kinks in the polish.)

Continue until you've covered the entire nail, dipping and wiping the brush as needed. Continue these steps on the rest of your nails, making sure each is completely dry before starting a new coat.

After you’ve put the amount of layers to create the shade you wanted find a good top coat (I recommend OPI’s Topcoat) and paint it over your completely dry, painted nails (this will help to keep the polish shiny, chip-free and looking fresh.

Now, you’re done! Enjoy your perfectly painted nails.

How to give yourself a

french manicure This article will teach you how

to give yourself a french manicure

without making a huge mess and

keeping your nails as healthy as they

can be.

First, you will start off by

removing any polish you may

already have on your nails. To remove

your polish use a cotton ball or

cotton swab and put some nail polish

remover (the more acetone the

remover contains the faster and

easier it is to remove the nail polish).

If your nails

are stained from previous polish use

whitening toothpaste and lime juice

and mix them into a paste with an

old toothbrush. Once you have made

the paste use the toothbrush or nail

brush to brush your nails clean then

rinse with water and dry your nails.

Once you’ve taken all your

polish off fill a bowl with warm

soapy water and soak your finger

nails (not your hands, just your

minutes.

soaked take them out of the bowl

and dry them. Then use a cuticle

Once your nails have been

prepped find a basecoat (I

recommend OPI’s basecoat) and apply

a thin even coat over each of your

nails; this will prevent from future

chipping and keep the colored polish

from dying your finger nails.

After the base coat is

completely dry grad your white nail

polish and load the brush with

polish. You can use stickers to guide

where the polish should go or you can

do it freehand.

Use the white of your nails to

guide where the paint should go (the

shorter your nails the smaller the

tip.) Place the brush onto the corner

of your nail and turn your finger

instead of moving the brush. For

shorter nails paint slightly more

than the natural white of your nails

to make them appear longer. Once

you have completed the first layer of

white repaint the white to intensify

the color.

After you have finished the

tips paint a nude nail color over the

whole nail to make your nails look

shiny and flawless. As soon as the

nude color has dried paint a topcoat

(I like OPI’s topcoat) over the entire

nail and you are finished! Let the dry

before you do much because you don’t

want to smudge!

These are stickers made out of

nail polish made to stick easily

and cleanly to any nail shape or

size. To use these you must

clean your nails of any excess

nail polish and any oils that may

be on your nails. To remove any

oils you may use nail polish

remover or rubbing alcohol.

Once your nails are free of oil

you heat up the nail stickers by

rubbing them (so that they don’t

tare as easily), then peel off the

sticker you want and place the

curved side towards your

cuticle. Starting on one side of

your nail place the sticker down

and begin to push it down

moving towards the other side

of your nail making sure that

there are no bumps beneath the

sticker. Then use nail clippers to

cut off most of the extra sticker

then save it or discard it. Use a

nail file (glass works best) to

smooth down the sticker and

the edges of your nail then file

away the extra sticker at the

end of your nail making sure

that the sticker is pressed firmly

to your nail so you don’t file

away too much of the sticker

leaving a blank spot on your

nail. These will stay on a week

to two weeks depending on the

conditions you use them in.
