Greetings Region VI! It was great to connect with many of you at the annual conference in San Diego! I hope your summer is going well and that you have some time to relax a bit before another school year begins. The regional team leadership has been working hard on preparations for the fall conference and we hope that you will be able to join us at the Hyatt Regency in Lexington, Kentucky from November 9-11. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, share ideas, and highlight best practices – please consider submitting a session proposal before June 30! In addition to an array of excellent sessions, we are excited to have three “uniquely Lexington” networking events for you to choose from – a tour of the Woodford Reserve Distillery, a tour of the West Sixth Brewing Company, or a tour of the Mary Todd Lincoln House. Space is limited and first come first serve – so make sure you register as soon as possible when the conference registration site opens later this summer! Remember – we also have several travel, presenter, and newcomer grants available as well. Please visit the Region VI website for more information. I’d also like to take this opportunity to let you know that we will soon be accepting applications for open team positions – Education Abroad (EA) Rep, Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (TLS) Rep, the Regulatory Ombuds for Students, and the Conference Planner Apprentice. If you are interested, please contact me for additional information. See you in Lexington! Sincerely,Amanda YuskoChair, Region VI
