Hierdie week gaan ons al die klanke wat ons tot dusver geleer het hersien.

This week we are going to revise all the sounds we’ve learnt so far.

ui , ie , ei , ou

* Lees deur al die “ui”, “ie”, “ei” en “ou” woorde in jou Uil klanke boek. Maak die Engelse betekenis

van die woord met jou hand of ’n liniaal toe en probeer om te onthou wat elke woord beteken.

(Die plakkate vir die klanke is in hierdie boekie weer aangeheg. Gebruik die “ui” plakkaat om die

Engelse woorde in jou Uil klanke boek neer te skryf as jy nie alreeds so gemaak het nie.)

Read through all the “ui”, “ie”, “ei” and “ou” words in your Owl klanke book. Cover the English

meaning of the word with your hand or a ruler and try to remember what each word means.

(The posters for the sounds have been included in this booklet again. Use the “ui” poster to

write the English words in your Uil klanke boek if you haven’t already done so.)

* Vra vir mamma of pappa om 5 woorde van elke lys uit te roep. Jy kan hulle in die sand skryf, op

die venster met ’n witbordpen of op ’n los vel papier.

Ask mom or dad to call out 5 words from each list. You can write them in the sand, on the

window with a whiteboard marker or on a piece of paper.

* OPSIONEEL: KLANKE SPELETJIE: Knip die prentjies op bladsy 5 en 6 uit. Versprei die

kaartjies onderstebo op ’n tafel. Tel een kaartjie op ’n slag op, draai dit om, kyk na die prentjie

en probeer om die Afrikaanse woord daarvoor neer te skryf. As jy nie kan onthou nie, sit

die kaartjie weer onderstebo op die tafel neer en tel ’n ander kaartjie op. As jy met ’n

ouer boetie, sussie of familielid speel moet julle beurte neem. As al die kaartjies opgetel is,

kyk na die plakkate of in jou Uil klanke boek om seker te maak dat jou woorde korrek gespel is.

Die persoon met die meeste korrekte antwoorde aan die einde is die wenner.

OPTIONAL: KLANKE GAME: Cut out the pictures on page 5 and 6. Spread the cards out

facedown on a table. Pick one card up at a time, turn it over, look at the picture and try to

write down the Afrikaans word for it. If you can’t remember the word, put the card back on the

table, facedown, and pick a different card up. If you play with an older brother, sister or family

member, you must take turns. Once all the cards have been picked up, look at the posters or in

your Owl klanke book to make sure that your words have been spelled correctly. The person

with the most correct answers at the end is the winner.
