CENTER HAPPENINGS

We had a special Halloween puppet show for Penguins, Butterflies, Giraffes, and

Elephants from Pittsburgh Puppet Works on October 22.

As we approach the Thanksgiving season, I hope that everyone enjoys spending time

with their loved ones. When we count our blessings, let’s remember all of the people who

are less fortunate and who are in need of our kindness. The Franciscan Child Day Care

Center will be holding a food drive for St. Winifred’s Food Pantry. This will take place

November 4th through November 15th. There will be a box in the front hallway where

all items can be placed. Thank you in advance for your donations.

years where you can sign up for a rewards card through the store and link our school to your card with our

Special code #148. With every dollar you spend you can add 1 SEED to our account and the school will

receive free programs from the Carnegie Science Center and the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. Recently,

the program has been revamped and our school code has changed from #215 to #148. Please make sure

your code has been changed on your card.

UNITED WAY – If your workplace participates in the United Way Giving Program

or if you give to the United Way and would like to designate the FCDCC as a

recipient, our code is #3485 for donations.

PRINTER INK CARTRIDGES - We recycle printer ink cartridges so if you have any please drop them off in

the box located in the hallway. THANK YOU!

WEATHER APPROPRIATE CLOTHING: Fall weather is here so please provide extra weather and

size appropriate clothing for your child along with a jacket for walks and strolls.

DOCTOR’S NOTE: It is very important to provide the Center with a note from your child’s physician stating

that they may return to daycare after having a communicable illness on the day they return. Examples of

illnesses include the flu, pink eye, Fifth’s Disease, Roseola, Hand Foot and Mouth, any kind of rash, etc.
