How’s it work?

• Research teams get recruitment consultation with CTSI

• Identify subjects (>18) who are eligible

• Get MyChart message IRB approved (MyChart Request

Form)- must include standard language

• eRecord team activates MyChart for Recruitment in EPIC

• Study Coordinator sends IRB approved message through

MyChart

• Patient indicates interested or not interested

Caveats• Only adult studies

• No studies of a sensitive nature

• Recruitment plan with multiple channels

• Study must be required to be in OnCore

• Cannot send messages in bulk: one at a time

• Patient contact limited to 2 rounds

• Need to check if patient on other studies

• Roll out to institution in March or April

• No eRecord access? CTSI will fill that role

• Follow up with patients quickly- 2-3 business days

• Retract messages when study’s recruitment period ends
