MyAdvocate Patient Portal Home Page
From the MyAdvocate Home Page, the following actions can be taken:
Create your Profile
Request an Appointment
Ask a Medical Question
Request Lab Test Results
Check Messages
Create your profile
Before you begin using your MyAdvocate account, it is helpful to create your profile.
You may add your contact and physician information that will be needed in all of your
communication and requests when using this tool.
Simply follow these steps to use the ‘My Profile’ option:
1. Select the „My Profile‟ option on the left, or click the „update my profile‟ link.
2. From the „My Profile‟ page, select the „Account Holder Information‟ tab, and then
click „Edit Account Holder Information‟.
3. Enter your Account Holder Information in the Window and then Select „Save‟.
4. Next, click on the „Patient Information‟ tab, and select „Physicians‟.
5. On the next screen, select “Add Physician”
A search window will open.
You need only enter partial information, such as the first few letters of their
last name, and click „search‟.
Select your physician from the list provided.
Save each of your physicians to your profile.
6. After you add your physicians, you will be able to select them in communications
and requests when using your MyAdvocate account.
Request an Appointment
Request an appointment online, and someone from your healthcare provider‟s office will send a reply to your secure Message Center. Please allow 1-2 business days for them to confirm your appointment request and provide the details of your appointment. **If you have a medical emergency, or need immediate medical assistance, please dial 911.
Simply follow these steps to use the ‘Request an Appointment’ option:
1. Select the „Request an Appointment‟ option from the menu on the left-hand side.
2. Read the „Terms and Conditions‟, and if you are in agreement, click „Agree‟.
If the „Terms and Conditions‟ are not agreeable, click „Disagree‟. Please call your
healthcare provider‟s office and they will assist you with scheduling an appointment.
3. Select the Department (Office Location), and Physician to ensure your
appointment request is sent properly to your healthcare provider.
Department: Select your healthcare provider‟s office location from the list.
Physician: Select the physician you want to request an appointment with.
If your physician is not listed here, click the link to „Find A Doctor‟. Within
the „Search Physician‟ window, you may enter partial information, such as
the first few letters of their last name. Call their office if they are not found.
Search Tip: Start with the Last
Name, and narrow your search
if there are multiple results. It
will not always be necessary to
use multiple search fields.
4. Next, in the text box below, fill out the following information regarding your
appointment request to help the office find an opening in the schedule:
• Reason for the appointment
• Preferred days of the week
• Preferred times for each day
• Are you willing to see another Provider?
5. Finally, click the „Submit‟ button to complete the Appointment Request Form.
Ask a Medical Question
You can send non-urgent messages to your healthcare provider‟s office, and a
response will be sent to your secure Message Center within 1-2 business days.
**If you have a medical emergency, or need immediate medical assistance, please dial 911.

1. Select the „Ask a Medical Question‟ option from the menu on the left.
2. Read the Terms and Conditions, and if you are in agreement, click „Agree‟.

healthcare provider‟s office and they will assist you with your medical question.
3. Select the Department (Office Location), and Physician to ensure your medical

5. Finally, click the „Submit‟ button when you are ready to send your question.
Request Lab Test Results
After your doctor has read your results, you can request the lab test results be sent to
your secure Message Center. Typically, it may take up to 3 business days for your
doctor to receive lab results, while other test results may take longer to be completed.
Simply follow these steps to use the ‘Request Lab Test Results’ option:
1. Select the „Request Lab Test Results‟ option from the menu on the left.
2. Read the „Terms and Conditions‟, and if you are in agreement, click „Agree‟.
If the „Terms and Conditions‟ are not agreeable, click „Disagree‟. Please call your
healthcare provider‟s office and they will assist you with your lab test results.
3. Select the Department (Office Location), and Physician who ordered the lab test
to ensure your request for lab test results is sent to your healthcare provider.
Department: Select your healthcare provider‟s office location from the list.
Physician: Select the physician who ordered the lab test, then click „Submit‟.
If your physician is not listed here, click the link to „Find A Doctor‟. Within
the „Search Physician‟ window, you may enter partial information, such as
the first few letters of their last name. Call their office if they are not found.
Search Tip: Start with the Last

Tip: You must choose the
physician who ordered the Lab
Test in order to receive results.
Check Messages
You can view responses from your healthcare provider in your secure Message Center.
Simply follow these steps to use your ‘Message Center’:
1. Select the „Message Center‟ option on the left, or the „view all messages‟ button.
2. You will be able to view the messages sent from your healthcare provider.
Once you have read a message, they will appear under „Messages I Have Read‟.
