My Response To The D.O.T. (Poetry) By: Nathan Young @nvyoun g

description

This is a poem I wrote way back in 2006 talking about how bad and mismanaged our roads are in Alabama. Today, roads in Alabama are still mismanaged and some of the worst in the country.

My ResponseTo The D.O.T.

(Poetry)

Page 2: My Response To The DOT

This poem is a response to the Alabama Department of Transportation and the state of Alabama, which has some of the worst

roads in the United States.

Page 3: My Response To The DOT

Why are our roads bad, is it just a fad, with all of our many traffic lights, it seems like our roads are in a blight.

Page 4: My Response To The DOT

With little enforcement of all heavy truck loads, it damages all of our roads, and with all of our deep pot holes, our cars are put on a heavy

toll.

Page 5: My Response To The DOT

With too much traffic on our roads, it looks like a parking lot as a whole, why can you not make the road wider, so all people can be

happy riders.

Page 6: My Response To The DOT

The roads are better across the state line, why can you spend an extra dime, if you can spend more money, we can have better roads

for our honey.

Page 7: My Response To The DOT

Why do you take your sweet old time, it seems like it’s taking our dime, if you can do projects fast, we will not be last.

Page 8: My Response To The DOT

If you spend your time not playing games, the public will not think your lame, we spend tax money for you to work, not to go around

and flirt.

Page 9: My Response To The DOT

With people dying on our roads, it looks like little implodes, why can’t we correct the situation, so we can have a good road nation.

Page 10: My Response To The DOT

Having good roads should be our goal, it should be like traveling on gold, it seems like we have been forgotten, that’s why our roads are

rotten.
