As you can see from my mood board my magazine will be based on rock music.

I want to make this rock magazine for girls so it will have a girly rock chick feel.

I will issue my magazine on a regular weekly basis. I will aim my magazine at teenagers who like this type

of music and I will use a lower price to suit their needs.

Genre

This is a number of different rock magazine front covers. I would use inspiration from these but as I want mine more girly, rock chick I wouldn’t use as many dark colours and scary images.

Target Audience

My target audience is for teenagers, aged 14-20.More likely to have a female audience as it is a more girly rock magazine.I will have some features for the male audience, to widen my audience.These are some of the interests my target audience may have.

These are some of my masthead ideas. I have had good feedback on the names Retro and Pulse but I have decided to use the name Pulse. I would like to use the font I used for Retro which is called ‘Headline Crack’.

• My unique selling point will be the fact that the magazine is made for the female audience in the genre of rock.

• Typically rock music magazines are set out for the male audience so I want to make a difference and introduce a ‘rock chick’ magazine.

• I will include celebrity exclusive interviews in my weekly magazine and from new artists in this genre.

• My magazine will be at the price of £1.50 which is issued every week so teenagers aged 14-20 will be able to afford this.
