We live in Ramon. It is a settlement in the centre of Russia not far from Voronezh city. More than 10 000 people live here. It is a very beautiful place and we call it «The pearl of Voronezh land».Ramon is 400 years old. And every year on the 1st of May we celebrate the Birthday of Ramon as a great holiday.

There are many sights and interesting places in Ramon: monuments, parks, squares, museums, shops, cafes, 3D cinema, a club, a church. We like these places and often go there. Every year many tourists come to Ramon. Here they can rest, visit interesting places and enjoy them.

PALACE OF OLDENBURGSKAYA

The main sight of our settlement is the Palace of Oldenburgskaya. It is about 140 years old. Princess Eugenia Oldenburskaya lived here.

There is a tower with a clock in front of the palace. This clock shows the right time.

BRIDGE OF LOVERS

This «Bridge of lovers» is near the Palace. It is about 140 years old.

Everybody want to sit in this carriage.

There is a stadium in Ramon. It is near our school and it is very popular. Many people go to the stadium every day. Here we can play football, tennis, handball and other sports games. In winter hockey and skating are very popular.

Sports competitions take place here too.Sportsmen from other places come to Ramon and take part in different sports competitions.

OUR SQUARE

This is our square. It is beautiful and large. There is a fountain, a post office, some shops here. When we have holidays there are performances and concerts here. In the evenings we can watch fireworks.

This is the monument to S.I. Mosin. He is famous in Russia and in other countries because he made the first russian rifle. This monument is in Mosin Street.

MONUMENT TO THE SHIP

This is a monument to the ship. We know that Peter I was in Ramon and made ships here.

This is a church. It is in the centre of Ramon.

This is our school. It is a favourite place of all children. 1000 pupils study here. There are 3 floors, many classrooms, 2 gyms, a hall, a school canteen. At school we study Russian, Literature, Maths, English, Art, Music, PE, Computer Technology, Nature Studies. After lessons we stay and school, do homework, play games, dance, sing and have a lot of fun.

This wonderful park is near the Palace of Oldenburgskaya. There are many trees and beautiful flowers here. People like walking in the park and enjoy flowers and fresh air.

OUR RIVER

Here we like to swim and bathe. There is a lot of fish in the river. Our river is a favourite place of all people.

The river Voronezh is one of the sights of Ramon.

NATURE RESERVE

Voronezh nature reserve is near Ramon. Different kinds of animals and birds live here: beavers, deer, foxes, hares. People support and help them.

RAMON IN SPRING

In spring Ramon is very beautiful. First spring flowers are wonderful. Birds come back to Ramon and sing their songs.

RAMON IN SUMMER

Summer is the best season. There are many bright flowers in the parks, squares and gardens. In summer we have the longest holidays.

In autumn the trees are yellow and red. There are many mushrooms in the forest.

RAMON IN WINTER In winter everything is white. We go skiing and skating, play snowballs, make snowmen. Children like winter because in winter we celebrate New Year.
