My Journey to the edge of the world Slide 2 This summer I travelled to my birth country- Russia. Slide 3 The first day we arrived to Russia, we landed in the biggest city on the east coast, Vladivostok. Slide 4 We stopped at our uncles house for 2 days, then we headed out for a smaller town called Dal- nerechensk. Slide 5 On the way to the town, I started to get my childhood memories back and how my family and I used to go to the big city. Slide 6 Once we arrived at my grandparents' house we had our friends and the rest of our family greet us there, and it finally hit me, I came back to the same place that I left 7 years ago. Slide 7 For the next 2 and a half weeks I stayed over at my grandparents houses and generally I had a good time working out in their plots of land where they grew vegetables to sustain themselves. Slide 8 If you have seen any of the dash cam footage from Russia you would think that the roads there are completely normal like here in Canada, but in reality most of the roads there are desolated an destroyed, even the highways are not that well maintained. Slide 9 The 2 weeks was the best experience of my life, I got to shoot my air rifle for the first time in pretty much a decade, shooting at anything from a bottle cap to a plastic plate. Slide 10 After the weeks in a little town we had to head back to Vladivostok to get on our plane and head back. We decided to go 2 days earlier so that we could say some goodbyes to our friends there. Slide 11 When we were at the airport, and we were saying our last goodbyes to our friends and loved ones I saw some tears come down from both of the sides. Slide 12 So my journey ended and I made more memories than I could count and Im hoping to come soon.
