My Holiday Wish listPrelude:

In all of my birthdays and/or Christmases I have never made an official Wishlist.

Of course I have scribbled down in my horrible handwriting a bunch of things I

wanted but that was then and this is now. Now that I have the resources and the

knowledge of what is awesome and what is not I can make an official Holiday

Wishlist. By holiday I mean both Christmasand my birthday either way I dont

really care.

And now the beginning...

Quentin Tarintinos new feature film Django: Unchained is a spaghetti western

set in the Deep South and features excellently shot gunfights and extremely

entertaining acting. Aside from the films violence (that is probably the bloodiest

of the decade) Django: Unchained features over 100 N-Words. The film was

nominated for 5 Oscars, and winner of two Django: Unchained isnt Tarintinos

best work but it is one of the most entertaining films of 2012 and well worth

owning

Django: Unchained Want Meter: 7

The Damned United is the true story of the arrogant coach of the Leeds United

and his 44-day reign. It was Tom Hoopers (Les Miserables, The Kings Speech)

first feature film that he directed and its plain to see that this is a masterpiece

that could be compared with the Kings Speech (oh yes I did). With great acting by

Brian Clough and Peter Taylor it doesnt take a genius to realize that this prepared

Tom Hooper for his later films that won him an Oscar for Best director.

Ridley Scott crafts a legendary film starring Russell Crow and Joaquin Phoenix thatgives you a firsthand look at the so called Glory of Rome. It follows Maximus as

he goes from a highly acclaimed military general to a slave of the entertainment

of the people of Rome. Definitely Scotts best work, it is a masterpiece that I

would like to own.

Gladiator Want Meter: 5

The Soloist is yet another true story about a writer who befriends a homeless man

whos not your normal hobo. Together they make an unbreakable friendship and

find each other through the sound of music. With great acting from both Downey

and Foxx The Soloist is definitely worth the money.

Ratatouille is easily in my top three animated movies. Im sure anyone whos

reading this has probably seen it. It is a cheery film full of laughs and ,yes some

tears. Ratatouille is definitely worth owning.

After finishing The Dark Knight (which holds third place in the greatest films of alltime) Christopher Nolan decided to show his true genius and wrote one of the

most confusing films ever. Though that confusing film was nominated for best

picture and it was praised as one of the best films of that year. Inception is about

a team of cons who infiltrate peoples dreams and steal their secrets one day

Cobb (Leo DiCaprio) accepts a job to insert an idea into a mans head. A process

called Inception.

The Bourne TrilogyThe Bourne Trilogy is one of the best trilogy in cinematic history (under Lord Of

The Rings of course) and is probably the best realistic action franchise ever. It

follows an agent of a branch of the CIA called TREADSTONE as he races to find out

who he is and protect the people that he has befriended. Matt Damon proves to

be one of the best action stars ever and the films rely on his portrayal of this dark

mysterious creature that knows everything and fears nothing. Altogether this

makes one out of a few collections on this list that I would love to put on one of

the shelves of my museum.

The Green Mile is one of those timeless films that just make you have the exact

same emotions every time you view them. You laugh at the funny parts, you cry

at the sad parts and you leave the room with the same feeling that you always

experience after watching an excellent film like The Green Mile. All in all The

Green Mile is one of the greatest films of all time and its worth owning.

The third Daniel Craig 007 film the only one Ive seen but I still think that it was

one of the best films of 2012 (along with The Avengers and The Hobbit). I do not

in fact want the other two films but I do believe Skyfall is worth the cash.

Justice League Doom is quite an interesting film. All throughout the DC Comics

Universe Batman has made it clear that he doesnt trust anyone. In Justice League

Doom Batman keeps files on all of his fellow teammates weakness and the files

are stolen by the villains of the DC Comics Universe and Batman must own up and

save them all. This is one of the few items on this list that I have not seen.

I have long been wondering about this film. The final cut of the movie took a large

dump on the legacy of my favorite hero ever but Ive heard great things about the

Directors Cut. A few things you should know are that the DC is rated R and it

contains blood and language.

Invictus is the story of Nelson Mandelas first term as president and his mission to

unite the country by giving them something to cheer for: The 1995 Rugby World

Cup. With excellent performances from Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon thatwere masterfully directed by Clint Eastwood Invictus is a timeless film worth

knowing.

The Social Network is the greatest drama of all time in my standards. That is

probably incorrect in the standards of most people so Ill just say that The Social

Network is my favorite drama. It tells a touching story of how money and power

ripped apart two friends. The reason I like it is mostly because it tells the story

using an iron heart. It doesnt want us close to tears, it simply tells the story ofMark Zuckaberg, Edwardo Saveirn and the founding of a website called Facebook.

Jaws is a timeless classic that I do not yet own. It would be nice if I did.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is a two part adaption of the graphic novel bylegendary writer Frank Miller it follows a Batman in his late 50s as he comes out

of retirement to take back Gotham back from a vicious gang called the mutants.

The 2nd

part follows Batman reviving Gotham from its crime state and bringing

The Joker out from hiding, and forcing Superman to stop the mass vigilantism and

take on Batman. This is probably the bloodiest DC Animated film ever so be

warned.

Cousin Als Collection

Ill try not to be too irritated with this but its kinda ridiculous. A couple of months

ago I was notified that I was related to the most famous filmmaker ever by anonchalant car conversation. I then viewed a biopic about him that showed

somewhat of the visionary director that he was. Now I wish to own a collection of

his.

Saving Private Ryan is a great example of the elements I talked about with TheGreen Mile. It is probably the best war film ever (but I havent seen much war

films) and it has one of the most famous opening scenes in film. It is another

classic film I would love to own.

Pulp Fiction&

ReservoirDogsCouldnt find a Tarintino collection that didnt have Kill Bill but still had Pulp

Fiction and Reservoir Dogs so if you guys can find a double feature; great and if

you have to get them separately then great! A lot of you probably wont buy them

at all but it would be nice to own them.

Ben Hur is a great film to watch if you have four hours to spare. It is a great

redemption story and it is worth owning.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a very unique film about monkeys that take over

the world. I would like to own it.

Wreck-It-Ralph is a film about finding out who you are. Aside from the extremely

entertaining video game elements of the film I like it because in the end Ralph

accepts who he is. The entire film he wants to be a good guy but at the end he

makes peace with the fact that a bad guy is what hes supposed to be.

Back to the Future is probably the most enjoyable film franchise ever. I love the

timeless cheesiness of the dialogue and the old fashion acting and I would love to

own the 25th

Anniversary Blu-ray Trilogy.

Daredevil: Born Again is a graphic novel written by the greatest comic writer of all

time in my standards. It follows Mathew Murdock as his secret identity is exposed

and his life goes downhill. Most of all this is a story of the redemption of girl who

finds that without her love she cannot survive and the retribution of a man who is

trying very hard to keep his legacy alive.

Its been called the best zombie movie of all time which if you think about it is

not a very impressive title. Brad Pitt gives a decent performance in a summer

blockbuster that despite the last minute reshoots and script rewrites has a very

masterful plot. I would like to own the unrated cut of the film as well as the Blu-

Ray theatrical version.

This is probably the best sci-fi of 2013 (Im sorry Oblivion) and it is directed by the

director of District 9. That being said this film makes me want to actually watch

that movie.

There is a group of superheroes that fight the bloody fight. They use their anger

and fear to prevent anyone else from experiencing this pain. They are the marvel

knights and they are composed of some of my favorite superheroes. I did a quicksearch and found out that you can buy it used on Amazon for ten bucks so this

would be a great gift.
