citizens, impact people around the globe.• The rapid pace of change has established
interdependence among nations and individuals.
Today’s students need new skills or they won’t be able to compete tomorrow! These skills include:
Understanding and appreciating diverse cultures so that they can compete globally
Communication skills in more than one language (English, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic)
Problem Solving Skills Team Work Higher order thinking skills in Math, Science
and Reading and Writing More than basic skills!
We used to be at the top in achievement.

That is not the case anymore. That is why ALL STUDENTS need to
learn at HIGH LEVELS. If the USA is to remain a superpower in
the world, we need to start today! This will take a tremendous effort on the
part of schools, students, parents, families and communities.
