MY Foundation Let’s Try…

My foundation is a Transparent non profitable Organization, where any individual has a right to question if it is found corrupt and each and every penny donated to the organization is accountable and will be used for fostering a better society.

MY-Foundation is the dream for the better society dreamt by a bunch of young graduates to make the society realize their responsibility and their role to be played in the society.

MY-Foundation is just a move not to change the people of the society but, to make them realize what they are using and what they are losing.

We believe access to a standard mode of education would empower the less privileged children to rewrite their fortunes.

MY-Foundation researches key rural areas in India that have little or no access to education. It is then submitted to the concerned departments of the state and arrangements are made to support these children through the consent of the school authorities. We are an organization working towards helping the under-privileged in attaining their right to knowledge and quality education. MY-Foundation provides a platform for better learning, a platform to brighten their tomorrow and give them the best in their pursuit of happiness by transforming their dreams to reality.

Organ Donation in India

Each year, hundreds of people die while waiting for an organ transplant. There is a shortage of organs, and the gap between the number of organs donated and the number of people waiting for a transplant is getting larger. Transplants, as an option, have successful outcomes, and the number of people needing a transplant is expected to rise steeply due to an ageing population and an increase in organ failure.

In India, a large number of people die due to road traffic accidents. However, only a small number of people that die due to these circumstances are able to donate their organs. As organs need to be transplanted as soon as possible following the donor’s death, they can only be donated by someone who has died in the hospital. Usually, organs come from people who are certified as dead while on a ventilator in a hospital intensive care unit, which can be as a result of a haemorrhage, major accident like a car crash or stroke.

There is a major lack of awareness about organ donation in India, and recent polls and surveys reveal that people would come forth with their wish to donate if they had received more information.

Myths and misconceptions about organ donation discourage potential donors from making the decision to donate organs or tissue after death.

Organ Donation in India

Almost 1.5 lakh people in India need a kidney; however, only 3000 of them receive one.

Only 1 out of 30 people who need a kidney receive one.

90% of people in the waiting list die without getting an organ.

India’s annual liver transplant requirement is 25,000, but we manage only about 800.

70% liver transplants are taken care of by a live donor, but 30% are dependent on cadaver donations.
