It all begins with dialogue. KRONE engi-

neers maintain a close relationship with

our customers and distributors. Together

they study markets, trends and needs.

Our designers use advanced computer

technology to design new machines

and simulate their in-field operation on

computer screens. This way, they start

optimising a product as early as in the

designing stage.

The next stage is building the prototype,

a task that is entrusted to seasoned

engineers, who assemble the new KRONE

machine in close cooperation with the de-

signers.

AX 250 L, AX 280 L are forage wagons with

hay extensions that fold hydraulically so

the machine can enter low buildings and

pass low gates. These AX rotor wagons

feature a bespoke rotor and a chain-and-

slat floor that slopes at the front to mini-

mize input power and provide gentle crop

treatment.

AX 250 D is our self-loading/unloading

forage wagon, which also features the

hydraulic folding extensions. This machine

is equipped with two powerful discharge

rollers at the rear, which discharge the

material in a uniform mat. A set of up to

32 knives cuts the material to perfect

lengths for equally perfect silage.

AX 250 GL and AX 280 GL are forage wa-

gons that feature solid steel extensions

that guarantee loss-free harvesting. The

extensions fold down so the machine can

easily enter the storage shed. The tailboard

opens wide for effective unloading.

AX, MX – the ease of forage harvesting

The KRONE AX and MX range is the new benchmark setting

generation of self-loading and self-unloading forage wagons.

Buying an AX or MX model is buying into experience and expertise.

After all, KRONE knows the business of farming. Innovations such

as the cam trackless EasyFlow pick-up system, the massive cut-

and-feed rotor, the knife bank that swings out to the side, the

central knife operation system as well as the chain-and-slat floor

that slopes at the front combine to implement higher through-

puts, lower power inputs, more operator comfort and less wear

and maintenance. You name it, KRONE builds it.

Perfect: Five rows of tines spaced at nar-

row 55 mm intervals and large 1,700 mm

or 1,800 mm working widths (AX, MX)

to DIN 1120 provide effective work. The

special design of the scrapers allows the

tines to retract at right angles. The roller

crop guard ensures a continuous flow

of crop into the machine and an 80 mm

vertical travel enables the pick-up to float

over any undulations. EasyFlow picks up

every haulm. After all, lost crop means lost

income.

The robust drive chain on the AX models is

overload protected by shear pins and the

chain on MX by a star ratchet clutch for

effective protection from sudden impacts.

EasyFlow for AX and MX – the Cam-less Pick-up

KRONE is the first manufacturer to offer a pick-up without cam

track. The unit stands out for its galvanized scrapers of a special

design, which ensures a continuous flow of crop as the tines

retract. EasyFlow

operates at a

higher speed for

cleaner gathering

and higher productivity.

Clean intake of crops

KRONE delivers to farmers’ needs. The pi-

voting gauge wheels are height adjustable

without tools and are quickly adapted to

current conditions. These wheels provide

effective tracking and avoid scuffing.

Clean work in ruts and boggy terrain – the

optional gauge wheels run within the trac-

tor wheelbase and optimize the pick-up

height. These, too, are height-adjustable

without tools.

Plenty of ground clearance: The hydrau-

lic articulated drawbar with double-acting

rams is standard specification on all AX

and MX models. A 75 cm ground clearance

guarantees the machine will not push up

material on the clamp.

The benefits are obvious: The uncontrolled

EasyFlow pick-up unit uses fewer moving

parts than a cam track controlled unit.

Therefore it gives quieter operation and

harder wearing, which in turn result in fewer

service and maintenance costs. EasyFlow

operates at a 30 % higher speed for the

resulting centrifugal force to enhance the

intake of crops and increase the overall

efficiency of the AX and MX models.

10

The 760 mm diameter and 1,557 mm wide

cut-and-feed rotor is at the heart of the

powerful self-loading/unloading AX forage

wagons. Tines, arranged in six helical rows,

consistently pull the material through the

knives. They are plated with 25 mm Har-

dox steel to protect the crop and ensure

cleanest cuts. Driven by a stronger chain,

the massive cut-and-feed rotor revolves in

pivoting roller bearings.

This chain drives the rotor on the AX

models and the MX 310 model. The auto-

matically lubricated and heavy-duty 1.5"

chain copes with the highest loads and

guarantees dependable operation in the

heat of harvest.

AX, MX cut-and-feed rotor modelsGo with the fl ow

Enhancing the intake and feed of the crop as well as cutting, the AX

and MX cut-and-feed rotors combine the advantages of traditional

rotor systems with those of swing arm systems. They are powerful

and low-maintenance and yet require little input power and provide

gentle crop treatment. Depending on

model and conditions, the AX

models can be powered by

85hp+ tractors. The helical

arrangement of the rotor

tines results in uninterrupted and

continuous cutting, which in turn

results in quiet running. There is

one knife cutting at any one moment.

Page 11: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

11

The MX cut-and-feed rotor is 1,640 mm

in width and 880 mm in diameter – two

parameters that explain its huge appetite.

Eight helical rows of tines feature 17 mm

wide and weld-on Hardox steel plates for

gentle crop feed without squeezing the

material. The MX 350 rotor is driven by

maintenance-free and oil immersed spur

gears while the rotor on MX 310 is driven

by a heavy-duty 1.5" chain.

Convenient – automatic rotor drive chain

lubrication and Cam-Less Pick-up. Two

assets that reduce maintenance and

increase chain longevity.

The cut-and-feed rotor has evolved in

decades of research and forage wagon

manufacturing. Its success in the fi eld is

accounted for by its enormous appetite,

its high compression rates and straightfor-

ward design. The tines feature extra wide

feed plates for gentle crop treatment, en-

hanced quality of cuts and reduced power

input. The plates and the scrapers are

made from Hardox steel. After all, the cut-

and-feed rotor is among the aggregates

exposed to the highest wear. In summary,

the unit stands out for less wear, higher

longevity and reduced costs.

Page 12: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

12

A power saving design, the AX and MX

knives pull the crop over a full-length

cutting edge, which eliminates the risk of

peak loads and results in quieter running.

The wavy blades maintain their sharpness

over extended periods of time.

Cutting like a scissor – the haulms cannot

slip away through the narrow clearance

between the wide tine plates and the

knives, which eliminates the risk squeezing

and guarantees perfect cuts.

Peace of mind: All knives are individually

protected by coil springs and break back

when a foreign object passes the system.

Once the object has passed, the knives

return automatically to their previous po-

sition.

The cutting system A cutting edge concept

Scissor-like cutting for finest quality forage! The secret behind

this system, which cuts the crop like a scissor, is the small

clearance between the wide tine plates and the spring-loaded

knives – 32 on AX and 41 on MX models. Central knife control

gives you the flexibility to select the preferred cutting length at

any moment. The highlight of this cutting

system is the knife bank that swings

out to the side for servicing from

only one side of the machine.

Page 13: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

13

Practical cab-based control – the knife

bank is lowered hydraulically when a

blockage occurs. Once the blockage is

removed, the bank swings back into the

feed channel – hydraulically and controlled

from the cab. Work can now be resumed.

Convenient maintenance and knife changes

– the knife bank is lowered hydraulically

and then swings out to the side. The knife

banks on machines specified with Comfort

Control are lowered by pressing a button

on the machine frame.

The central knife operation system con-

trols a variety of cutting lengths. Nominal

lengths on AX models are 90 mm and 45

mm, obtained by sets of 16 or 32 knives;

whereas nominal lengths on MX models are

74 mm or 37 mm, obtained by activating

20, 21 or 45 knives. 0 position means the

crop is not cut.

Straightforward and convenient: All knife

changes are carried out without tools and

from one side of the machine after the knife

bank swings out – an innovative system on

the new AX and MX forage wagons that

offers ultimate operator comfort. All knife-

changing operations are carried out from

the left side of the machine, from lowering

the knife bank and swinging it out to remo-

ving the knives – a time and cost saving

system.

How you do it: First, lower the entire knife

bank hydraulically. Set the knives to 0 po-

sition, which unlocks them automatically.

Then operate a lever to unlock the knife

bank and swing it to the side. Last, remove

the knives by pulling them up and out of

the bank. Afterwards, swing the knife bank

back into work position, where it locks

automatically.

14

The heavy-duty frame is designed for hea-

vy-duty applications. The axial beams are

made from 200 mm high channel section

steel – for superior stability and longevity.

Vertical and straight sides ensure the ma-

terial passes smoothly to the rear. A high

number of stanchions provide stability. The

sides are hot-galvanised, powder coated

and plastic-laminated. This is quality

through and through.

Strong – two high-tensile chains with

short and 10 mm diameter links advance

the crop smoothly and swiftly to the rear.

Unloading, too, is swift and smooth.

AX – difference by design Easier intake, higher output

Tough applications ask for sturdy hardware. The answer is the

AX range of forage wagons with extra robust frames and bodies,

because KRONE knows that strength is paying off over the years.

The sloping chain-and-slat floor is an achievement that brings

efficiency and easy-loading at the same time.

Handling even the heaviest crops, the hy-

draulic chain-and-slat floor moves enor-

mous masses of material. Advance speed

is steplessly variable.

The control chest for floor advance / reverse

on discharge roller models. As the floor

reverses, the material moves away from

the discharge rollers to cure a problem in

this area, for example. After the area is

cleared, the rollers can start up freely.

Work light for night work. This is one detail

that shows KRONE responds to user

wishes. The light illuminates the load area

for effective operation at night.

Easy flow and robust build – AX meets

the needs of farmers who use their forage

wagons for on-farm applications. The

wagon stands out for its EasyFlow pick-

up without cam track, a powerful and

large-diameter rotor, wide tine plates and

scissor-like cutting. The system does not

affect the forage quality and does not

squeeze the material. In addition, the per-

fect cutting system reduces the amount of

power required to drive the rotor. As the

chain-and-slat floor slopes at the front

it reduces the length of the feed channel

and thus the amount of power required to

feed the material into the load area, thus

enabling a faster and gentler crop feed. As

a result, the AX models can be operated by

80hp+ tractors. The point is made: these

wagons deliver the quality of a rotor cutter

at the power input of a swing-arm system.

Page 16: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

16

An effective system, the tarp cover at the

machine‘s front end, the high number of

ropes and closely spaced channel steel

sections provide effective loading and

eliminate the risk of loosing material on

lanes and roads.

Convenient: The extensions are operated

by two hydraulic rams, which are mounted

on either side of the machine‘s front. The

rams are operated from the cab.

Flexibility: The collapsible extensions allow

the machine to pass under low gates

and enter low buildings and give you the

fl exibility to use them as feeder wagons in

low animal buildings and winter storage in

low sheds.

AX 250 L, AX 280 LModels with collapsible hay extensions

The AX 250 L and AX 280 L models with cutting system and

hydraulic hay extensions offer advanced harvest technology.

These machines are ideal for harvesting effi ciently without the

risk of losses. The easy operating wagons stand out for their

cam trackless EasyFlow pick-up,

effi cient rotor cutter and

swing-out knife bank with

32 knives as well as their

chain-and-slat fl oor that

slopes at the front.

17

It’s safe, too: AX 250 L and AX 280 L also

feature an automatic limit stop for the slat-

and-chain fl oor. A sensor controlled switch

automatically stops the fl oor advance

when the material starts pushing against

the tailboard to protect it from damage.

Robust through and through: The solid

steel and stable tailboard ensures loss-free

transport. The road lights are integrated in

the rear wall and do not interfere with the

material that is being unloaded.

High capacity: The tailboard opens wide

to unload the crop swiftly as the chain-

and-slat fl oor advances at full speed. Two

hydraulic rams open the tailboard wide.

The board is unlocked automatically as

it opens and is locked automatically as it

closes.

The AX 250 L and AX 280 L rotor cutter

models offer capacities of 25 m³ and

28 m³ (DIN 11741) while providing the

fl exibility to pass under low gates and

enter low buildings thanks to collapsible

hay extensions, saving time and costs.

Vice versa, use them to full capacity and

fold up the extensions when working in

the fi eld or in high buildings. Besides, the

compact design and low centre of gravity

provide the stability that is required for safe

operation on the slope.

Page 18: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

18

No crop is lost. The solid steel extensions,

the solid tailboard, the tarp covers and

plenty of ropes – all these details com-

bine to transport your chopped silage to

the clamp without loss along the way. The

solid steel extensions are made of only few

components to offer maximum stability.

Nothing is left behind: The material moves

smoothly to the rear and past vertical and

straight sides, advanced by the hydraulic

chain-and-slat floor, which comprises two

robust chains and aggressive channel

section slats.

A thought-through system: The sides

feature fold-in extensions. These give

added flexibility as the machine passes

easily under low gates and enters low

sheds for winter storage.

AX 250 GL, AX 280 GL Solid steel extensions

The AX 250 GL and AX 280 GL models offer strong and solid

steel extensions to suit professional applications and daily

harvesting. These 25 m³ and 28 m³ capacity machines

(DIN 11741) transport the crop fast and without losses to the

clamp. These easy operating rotor cutter wagons with sloping

chain-and-slat floor and wide opening tailboard are made for

high-capacity and cost-effective harvesting.

Page 19: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

19

Automatic chain-and-slat limit stop: On AX

GL, the advance of the chain-and-slat floor

is stopped by pressing a button on the in-

side of the knife bank. AX 280 GL models

are available with Comfort Control and

automatic loading.

From the tractor seat: Two rams on either

side of the tailboard open and close the

tailboard hydraulically. The automatic

system makes unloading a much easier

operation.

High-capacity: AX 280 GL offers a large

28 m3 volume (DIN 11741). The tailboard

opens wide and the hydraulic chain-and-

slat floor empties the large load area

quickly and effectively.

No crop is lost. Modern forage wagons

are primarily used for harvesting wilted

crop that is cut to short lengths for silage

making. The machines are loaded to maxi-

mum capacity and for maximum transport

efficiency. The vertical and hot-galvanized

and plastic-laminated solid steel sides

in combination with a high number of

stanchions provide absolute stability. No

crop will get lost through the solid walls.

These machines roll the crop home to the

clamp, haul after haul.

Page 20: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

20

Low-profi le: A ca. 2,920 mm build height

is low enough so the machine can enter

low buildings. The hydraulic extensions

fold approx. 600 mm, controlled from the

tractor seat.

Powerful driveline: The main driveshaft

integrates the overload clutch, which gi-

ves appropriate protection the extremely

robust discharge roller drives. The power

fl ows directly from the main gearbox to the

bottom discharge roller.

Two large 470 mm diameter discharge

rollers with V-shaped tines unload the

material across the full machine width. The

bottom rotor revolves at a higher speed to

boost unloading effi ciency and crop fl ow

consistency.

AX 250 DForage and Discharge wagon with collapsible extensions

Universal: The AX 250 D model is a forage wagon that features

the cut-and-feed rotor, folding hay extensions and discharge

rollers and a 25 m³ capacity body (DIN 11741). Like all KRONE

high-capacity forage wagons, this model stands out for quality

build, an extraordinary level of standard specifi cation and

convenient operation.

21

Automatic chain stop: The AX 280 D model

features a motion sensor on the bottom

roller. This sensor detects when the body

is fi lled to capacity and stops the chain-

and-slat fl oor. The system ensures the

rollers will start off smoothly even when the

machine is fi lled to capacity.

Running smoothly: The heavy-duty rotor

drive chains withstand the highest loads.

Spring-loaded chain tensioners reduce the

need for maintenance and enhance the

service life of the chains.

Perfect in every detail: The solid tailboard

with integrated lights is robust and opens

wide via two hydraulic rams, which control

the opening angle and thereby the material

fl ow.

Old buildings, low gates or bridges and low

hanging branches often make it diffi cult to

operate high-capacity forage wagons with

cutting rotor and rigid extensions. The easy

operating KRONE AX 250 D is a compact

forage wagon that is equipped with two

discharge rollers and folding extensions so

it easily passes under low gates. Equipped

with a large number of innovative features,

the machine impresses by high output

capacities and low input requirement.

32 selectable knives make the AX 250 D

a versatile machine that is used for daily

harvests of green forage and in wilted

silage operations.

Page 22: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

22

Unloading the crop in an even mat, two or

three rollers (option) are directly driven by

tractor‘s pto shaft, which features an inte-

gral overload clutch. Vertical sides down

the full length of the machine eliminate any

risk of bridging.

Large-diameter rollers boost unloading ef-

fi ciency. 470 mm diameter rotors operate

dependably and smoothly. The two units at

the bottom revolve at a higher speed, en-

suring a continuous fl ow of crop and short

unloading cycles.

Automatic chain-and-slat limit stop: When

the machine is fi lled to capacity, the

material pushes the bottom roller to the

rear. When this happens, a motion sensor

causes the chain-and-slat fl oor to come

to a stop. When it’s time to discharge, the

rollers start up readily.

AX 250 GD, AX 280 GDForage and Discharge wagons with solid steel extensions

The GD model badge stands for solid steel extension wagons

with discharge rollers. The AX Forage and Discharge wagons

cater for all requirements. Up to three discharge

rollers unload the material in a uniform

mat and in no time at all. The

chain-and-slat fl oor slopes at

the front and reduces input

power and increases

loading capacity.

Optional cross conveyor

Page 23: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

23

Versatile: AX 250 GD and AX 280 GD are

available with an optional cross conveyor.

The hydraulic aggregate is easily stored

under the machine after use.

Convenient: The belt is operated both from

the cab terminal and from the control unit

at the rear. The system offers operators the

option of controlling the machine from the

ground.

The machine discharges the material

to either side and to requirement. The

discharge rate is controlled by ground

speed and fl oor advance.

Quality silage is gained by clamping the

material in even mats. The AX Forage and

Discharge wagons with their large-diame-

ter and solid discharge rollers fully meet

these requirements. The machine unloads

the material layer by layer and across the

full length of the heap to prepare for sub-

sequent clamping. The automatic slat-and-

chain fl oor stop sensor, which is integrated

in the bottom discharge roller, ensures the

rollers will start up smoothly on the clamp.

The direct driveline, which sends the

power from the main gearbox at the front

of the machine to the rear bottom roller is

a well-proven system. The straightforward

system comprises only few drive chains

and driveshafts for guaranteed frictional

connection and ease of maintenance.

Page 24: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

The low-maintenance and high-clearance

axle aggregate with four-wheel braking is

approved to a maximum speed of 40 km/h.

Offering plenty of clearance and excellent

climbing, the unsprung assembly performs

extraordinarily well on the clamp.

The spring-loaded tandem axle system

with draft arm suspension and parabolic

springs and equalizer assembly: The

strong arms connect the chassis and axles

to provide optimum control by exerting a

pulling effect on the axles.

Caster-steer Boogie axle with parabolic

springs: The system brings the centre of

gravity down and thereby enhances the

machine‘s ability to climb the clamp. The

castering rear axle is locked by a ram

during manoeuvring or clamping.

The robust MX frame is made from 240

mm high channel steel sections. The axial

draft arms are customized to the chassis;

they are angled on MX 310 models equip-

ped with up to 22" tyres and straight on

MX 350 models with up to 26.5" tyres.

The stanchions are closely spaced to

provide extra stability to the sides. The

formed steel sides are vertical and plane

to ensure smooth advance of the material

to the rear of the machine. The sheets are

galvanized and powder coated for durabi-

lity and longevity.

Two are better than one: Two chain-and-

slat fl oors ensure MX unloads the material

smoothly and fast. Unloading cycles are

effective and short because time is money.

The four 10 mm short-linked chains are

high-tensile and long-serving.

MX – innovative by designBoost your harvest effi ciency

MX is the new KRONE range of high-capacity Forage and

Discharge wagons with solid steel bodies. Offering a capacity

of up to 35 m³ (DIN 11741), these rotor wagons impress not

only by their enormous effi ciency and low input power but

also by their versatility. Equipped with solid steel

extensions and doing without hoops and ropes,

these wagons are the perfect machines

for contracting businesses.

Sturdy and wide channel section frame (240 mm)

Double chain-and-slat fl oor

Page 27: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

27

Positive: The hydraulic fl oor offers stepless

adjustment and slow / fast advance. MX

350 features a separate drive with a fast

advance function for each slat-and-chain

system.

No material is lost. The top plate on the

headboard pivots up to form part of the

automatic loading system, provided it

is specifi ed with an optional sensor as

available on Comfort Control models.

Easy, practical and safe – a door and

l adder on one side of the MX models offer

access into the machine. The door is on

the rear axle for balance of loads during

loading.

Forage wagons are assessed not only by

their capacity, length of build, and quality

of cut but also by degree of input power

and effi ciency as well as softness of crop

handling. Introducing a chain-and-slat fl oor

that slopes at the front, KRONE imple-

ments a shorter feed channel and thereby

reduces the pressure on the material. This

means gentler crop treatment, reduced

input power and higher load rates. Also,

the sloping fl oor increases the volume of

the machine and allows full exploitation of

the overall capacity.

Page 28: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

28

Efficient harvesting: MX 350 GL is a heavy-

duty machine of a 21-tonne weight rating.

It delivers efficiency, cutting quality and

dependability – all key criteria for effective

silage harvesting.

A robust system: The MX 310 rotor cutter

is driven by a massive 1.5" chain. An auto-

matic chain lubrication system minimizes

maintenance. The chain is hard wearing

and offers extended service life.

Frictional and maintenance-free connec-

tions: The MX 350 cutting rotor is driven by

an oil-immersed spur gear, a drive system

that is able to handle high loads and that

is protected by a cam-type clutch in the

main driveshaft.

MX 310 GL, MX 350 GL High-capacity forage wagon with solid steel extensions

Offering high capacity, high efficiency and versatile application,

the MX 310 GL and MX 350 GL forage wagons with solid steel

extensions and 32 m³ and 35 m³ (DIN 11714) load areas are

tailored to large-scale operations and contracting businesses.

These MX models were developed over decades of forage

wagon manufacturing and listening to farmers and contractors.

Page 29: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

29

Safety is key. A sensor controlled switch

automatically stops the floor advance as

soon as the material starts pushing against

the tailboard. The terminal screen prompts

the operator that the machine is filled to

capacity. The system eliminates the risk

of damaging the tailboard due to over-

loading.

A thought-through system: The strong MX

GL tailboards are made from smooth and

unpunched steel sheet to ensure no crop

is lost. It opens and closes hydraulically

and is locked and unlocked automatically.

High-capacity unloading: The tailboard

opens wide. The two chain-and-slat floors

combine with vertical and smooth sides to

feed large masses swiftly to the rear of the

machine. Nothing is in the way. Everything

is moving smoothly.

High performers that deliver quality, sta-

bility and smooth operation, the high-

capacity MX models impress not only by

superior driving and convenient operation

but also by their enormous efficiency at

a low power input. The large rotor cutter

with wide tine plates and the sloping floor

ensure gentle crop treatment. KRONE MX

gives you true peace of mind. The versatile

forage wagon operates cost-effectively in

wilted silage and maize.

Page 30: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

30

Total quality forage. The MX GD models

feature two or three (option) discharge

rollers. The large 470 mm diameter, the

polygon and the higher rpm bottom roller

produce an even mat on the clamp while

unloading at maximum speed.

Ultimate performance – the discharge rol-

lers are overload protected by a cam clutch

in the main tractor driveshaft. This design

boosts the unloading rate and accuracy of

distribution at high unloading rates and in

heavy crops.

A direct and absolutely maintenance-free

driveline transmits the drive power from

the front end of the machine to the bottom

roller at the rear. The driveshaft and the

right-angle gearboxes deal perfectly with

load peaks in heavy crop.

MX 310 GD, MX 350 GDHigh-volume forage wagon with solid steel extensions and discharge rollers

MX 310 GD, MX 350 GD are the KRONE high-performance and

high-capacity forage wagons complete with discharge rollers

and rotor cutter. The 31 m³ and 35 m³ (DIN 11741) capacity

models are designed for professional application by large-scale

farmers or contracting businesses. The machines impress not

only by their sheer capacity, excellent cutting quality and high

operator comfort but also by the

high discharge rates of the new

rotor assembly at the rear.

Split chain-and-slat fl oor slopes at front

Page 31: Mx Ax Wagon English Leaflet

31

Perfect in every detail: Automatically tensi-

oned chains drive the rollers in the middle

and at the top. The bottom roller revolves

at a higher speed to the effect of producing

a uniform mat and fi ne distribution.

The fully automatic limit stop stops the

slat-and-chain fl oor when the machine is

fi lled to capacity and material is pressing

against the bottom rotor, which starts mo-

ving in a gate to the rear. A motion sensor

triggers chain stop. The discharge rollers

will then start off smoothly.

No material is lost, thanks to the pivoting

hood on the tailboard, which optimizes the

crop fl ow during unloading. When the tail-

board opens this board pivots into vertical

position to guard off the material and en-

sure it drops back onto the rollers.

The high-capacity self-unloading MX GD

model stands out for unique effi ciency

and versatility. The uncontrolled EasyFlow

pick-up leaves nothing behind, not even

when loading at high ground speeds. The

massive rotor cutter with wide Hardox steel

plated tines for enhanced crop feed deve-

lops a huge appetite. 41 knives produce

nominal lengths of cut of 37 mm – truly

short cuts. The chain-and-slat fl oor slopes

at the front to reduce input power and in-

crease loading capacity. The beefy rollers

at the rear are overload protected by a

clutch in the main driveshaft and discharge

the material fast and in a uniform mat. MX

GD – the ultimate forage wagon for har-

vesting high-quality silage. Depend on it.

32

The spring-loaded assembly with axial

draft arms that exert a pulling effect on

the axles reduces the load on the para-

bolic springs, which are exclusively used

for springing. As the axles track very accu-

rately, they enhance straight running and

reduce tyre wear.

The spring-loaded tandem Boogie axle

assemblyhas parabolic springs fi tted bet-

ween and underneath the axles, a design

that guarantees perfect climbing and clam-

ping abilities. Thanks to a large suspension

travel, all axles are level at all times and the

load is distributed uniformly to all wheels.

The caster-steer axle features hydraulic

locking and load-sensitive disk cam

control. This stabilises the axle in straight

travel, because the machine weight pres-

ses two curved plates against each other.

The curved sides of the pressure bearings

glide on each other when the machine is

travelling through a bend.

Spring-loaded tandem axle aggregates for the MX rangeOn the road of success

Modern machines are heavier in weight and more versatile. In

addition, they operate in maize and haylage as well as in fl at

and hilly terrain. For all these reasons, it is more important today

than in the past to specify them with proper axles, tyres and

brakes. The spring-loaded axle assembly with up to 20" tyres

and the Boogie axle aggregate with up to

26.5" tyres feature high-quality

and four-wheel braked

tandem axles that suit

your requirements

perfectly.

One box for all: This operator box not only

comprises all Comfort control functions

but is also compatible with all ISOBUS

equipment. The display features intuitive

and high-technology controls.

The automatic loading system is an option

for AX and MX models with solid steel ex-

tensions and Comfort control. The system

comprises a pre-compression sensor that

is mounted at the bottom of the headboard

and filling levelling detection via sensor

(AX) or pivoting top plate (MX) and offers

the advantage of boosting filling levels and

the degree of pre-compression. Only after

both sensors are activated, will the chain-

and-slat floor start reversing. The system

ensures consistent crop feed to the rear

and full exploitation of the load capacity.

The job is less fatiguing and the risk of air

pockets in the load area is eliminated.

The shock-proof ‘Medium‘ and ‘Comfort‘

operator boxes are as easy to handle, read

and operate as the CCI ISOBUS control

terminal. They feature actively backlit

buttons for less fatiguing night work on

load-sensing wagons. AX and MX can

be specified with the international and

standardized ISOBUS system, an option

that allows owners to operate different

machines from different manufacturers

from one single terminal. This means, the

machine is set and operated from the cab-

mounted CCI-ISOBUS terminal. The new

CCI terminal is a standardized ISOBUS

operation system that is compatible with

many makes.

Pin-hitch drawbar: This drawbar offers

large ground clearance so that the pick-

up can collect the most massive swaths

without problem. The top-mounted draw-

bar is available for air brake models but is

also perfect on overrun braked machines.

Bottom-mount drawbar: This system

copes with higher tongue loads and at-

taches to hitch hook, Piton-fix, pivoting

and ball hitch systems.

The 40 mm ID hitch ring is mostly used

on top-mount, pin-hitch drawbars. The

cranked version is used on machines with

overrun braking whereas the straight unit

is reserved for air brake models.

Hitch systems – customized to your requirements

As we market our machines in many different countries where

statutory requirements and harvest conditions differ accordingly,

we developed various attachment systems that cater for indi-

vidual requirements and regions and offer an optimum solution

for every farmer. Ranging from hitch rings to ball hitch systems,

our wide variety of attachment systems offers the right product

for any demand at home and abroad. You can choose the right

system for your tractor. As machine weights increase, bottom

mount systems are becoming more popular in Germany now.

37

The 50 mm ID hitch ring attaches to hitch

hook or Piton-Fix systems. This is a popu-

lar system in many countries.

The 80 mm hitch ball reduces wear and

increases ride comfort as it eliminates

horizontal shock loading.

The drawbar suspension system: The

design warrants smooth and comfortable

running. The nitrogen tank absorbs shock-

loads by operating the hydraulic ram on

the articulated drawbar.

Attachment and removal can be heavy

work and therefore our self-loading / un-

loading AX and MX forage wagons feature

a foldable stand. The standard articulated

drawbar offers hydraulic height adjustment

to bring the hitch ring to the proper attach-

ment height. The fold-up stand offers

ample ground clearance and guarantees a

smooth flow of the crop into the machine –

even when picking up massive swaths. All

lines are routed tidily for easy coupling.

* Base specification ( ) Option All weights and dimensions do not necessarily comply with standard specifications and are therefore not binding.

Original parts are more cost-effective, because it is approved quality that really pays. Haven‘t you been through the experience that your local dealer claimed a part was high-quality and then it turned out that it did not work? Tests conducted by agricultural magazines have shown that manufacturer-tested quality parts last longer and operate more reliably. Do not compromise on quality and trust in Original KRONE parts.
