Once Again our club Christmas Party was a great success. Dominic Liparoto said grace and dinner began.
Special thanks to Jim Drew for heading up our dinner arrangements.
Also a special thank you to Santa for stopping in and visiting with the children. A gift for each of the children was
provided and a special thank you to Bonnie Robertson and her sister Karen for all your hard work with shopping,
wrapping and being terrific Santa’s helpers. There’s no question, the party would not have been the same without
your help.
The cooler raffle was also a great success. We once again sold several thousand tickets which will help a great deal
with club objectives for donations and sending kids to MUCC camp in 2014. Mark and Laurie Lewallen were unbelievable again
this year, and a big thank you to both of you for all the work you did.
The lure tree drawing this year was won by Eric Braden. There were many lures on the tree, and I thank everyone for their dona-
tions. I know some are going to work very well this year on the tournament trail.
The coveted Captain of the Year Award was presented to Dave Zawacki. Congratulations Dave, a job well done. The next big
award, Crew Person of the Year was presented to Tom Hesch. Way to go Tom. The River Angler of the Year Roger Hinchcliff. Out-
standing job Roger, congratulations.
Karen Westphal presented the awards for the big fish contest to the five categories we recognize. The big fish of the year went to
Adam Trenz for his 31.25 pound King Salmon. Congratulations Adam, you sure showed us how to catch the big-one.
Four additional awards were presented to cap off the year. The special 2013 Presidents Award was presented to Phil Bustos and Jeff
Bustos. Congratulations Phil and Jeff, your contribution to our club is outstanding, and I want to thank you for your service. The
third award was presented to Lenard Pietila. Lenard’s contribution to our club for the past 15 years is unparalleled. Our club is what
it is today because of the unselfish work and attitude Lenard brings with him on behalf of all our club activities. Thank You Lenard,
Congratulations. A fourth Member Service Award was presented to Carmen Zirles, for his outstanding contribution to our club as
treasurer for many years. Thank You, Carmen.
I again hope everyone had a good time at our party and look forward to your participation in the coming year.
Happy New Year - Sincerely, Clyde Schoen

Swim, fish, or dock your boat in your own front yard; Launch your small craft right next door; Watch the sunset over the dunes from your living room. Rent our deck boat or a jet-ski just down the road. Or drive five miles into downtown Ludington where you will find golf, movie theatres, bowling, go-carts, putt-putt golf, Lake Michigan fishing, a wonderful sandy beach, and numerous restau-rants, ice-cream parlors, and shopping.
