Introduction

The MVF modules can be variously assembled together to build-up small to room size clean work areas. The basic module is a self-contained unit including HEPA filter and fan for delivering class ISO 5 air quality, accordiing to norm ISO EN 14644-1 and can be assembled according to the needs of the clean area configuration. The modules bolted together form a network structure to get a stiff assembling.

Composition of the system

The dimensions of the unit are the following:

HMVF Depth 680 mm Length 680 mm Height 500 mm

MVF2 Depth 1360 mm Length 680 mm Height 500 mm

MVF3 Depth 985 mm Length 985 mm Height 500 mm

Main characteristics

• Made of Stainless Steel AISI 304 L with scotch

brite finishing; • Diffusion and Protection Grid for pre-filter and

HEPA Filter in anodised aluminium; • Modules MVF2 and MVF3 have a double intake

fan rated to deliver 1.200 Nm³/h at air velocity of 0,45 m/s and at max. pressure of 320 Pascal;

• Module HMVF has a double intake fan rated to deliver 550 Nm³/h at air velocity of 0,45 m/s and at max. pressure of 320 Pascal;

• Improved design plenum in negative pressure to prevent risk that contaminated air might escape

by-passing filter and to reduce pressure transition losses, noise level and uneven air velocity profile; • Outlet for D.O.P. testing; • Differential manometer outlet; • Differential pressure switch in each module; • Module MVF2 has a HEPA filter rated at 99,995% MPPS (0.3 micron) efficiency (H14 according to EN 1822), with

dimensions 610x1220x66 mm; • Module HMVF has a HEPA filter rated at 99,995% MPPS (0.3 micron) efficiency (H14 according to EN 1822),

with dimensions 610x610x66 mm; • Module MVF3 has a HEPA filter rated at 99,995% MPPS (0.3 micron) efficiency (H14 according to EN 1822), with

dimensions 915x915x66 mm; • All MVF modules are provided of prefilter G 3 according EN 779. • Electrical supply 230 V/50 Hz monophase; • Maximum power consumption for each module 620W;

Control panels

Remote control panel • AISI 304 stainless steel • IP 55 protection degree • Overall dimensions 600 x 600 x 250 (WxDxH) • General switch with door lock device; • “ON” (LAF) press button; • “OFF” (LAF) press button; • ON/OFF push button for the fluorescent lamp; • Alarm mute press button; • Green light of the laminar air flow (if green light flashes the air flow is irregular);

Jolly control set (ABS material) • Ventilation (LAF) On/Off • Light On/Off • Fan velocity manual adjusting trimmer • Available on the panel remote

Norms and directive

The MVF Modules are designed according to the following standards and directives: • EN 60204-1 • LVD-Directive 72/23/EEC-93/68/EEC

IMPORTANT !! The system we produce, according to the above statements, are manufactured in compliance with the laws on safety into force. Particularly, it is manufactured in compliance with Art. 6 Dlgs 626/94 and its modification (Italian law in compliance with European Directive EEC 89/391) on the DUTY OF DESIGNERS, OF MANUFACTURERS, OF SUPPLIERS AND INSTALLATORS. The system is NOT submitted to the directive EEC 93/42 on Medical Devices, as indicated in the definition of “Medical Devices” reported in art. 1 point 2a of the Directive mentioned. STERIL IS NOT responsible for damages to people and objects due to a non proper use of the system, and due to a fail to comply with the user instructions and maintenance that is always supplied with the system.

Performances

• Air velocity measured at a distance of 300 mm: 0.45 m/s ± 10%; • Contamination Class of the area under the laminar airflow: ISO 5 in “as built” conditions, according to norm ISO EN

14644-1.

Tests control

In our Quality Control Dept., according to our procedure WI-MFG-006 included in the Quality manual of Steril Equipment Division. The Quality System of Steril S.p.A. Equipment Division is certified in compliance to EN ISO 9001-2000 with a Certificate n° CERT-00669-95-AQ-MIL-SINCERT/B released by “DNV – Det Norske Veritas”. On request, validation tests at site with IQ/OQ protocols are available.

COMISSIONING (on request) STERIL will carry out the start-up at Client’s site with the following controls:

• check of the laminar air flow velocity; • check of the air cleanliness according to norm ISO EN 14644-1; • DOS test on HEPA filters(inerti gas like nitrogen at customer charge);

UTILITIES BATTERY LIMIT

Power lines at Client’s charge.
