➢ 54% of humanity is living in urban areas.

➢ 64% of the world’s oil is used for transportation.

Why Urban Mobility? A global issue.

➢ 23 % of the world’s CO2 emissions are due to urban vehicles.

Why Neighbourhoods? The right scale.

➢ A stronger sense of place and belonging.

➢ A small laboratory to triggera wider impact in a bottom-up way.

➢ A new way to approach mobility policies’ decision making.


How to fix that?

Change the way citizens experience urban mobility.

Using mobility data and engaging citizens and stakeholders.

Designing people (and not car) oriented urban policies.

Fostering more sustainable and active mobility behaviours.

03MUV Approach


MUV is an innovative urban mobility solution at the neighbourhood level.

Urban mobility is a sport

➢ MUV is a digital platform that gamifies sustainable urban mobility. The app detects people’s commuting modes, assigns points and gives prizes for green behaviours.

➢ The more points MUVers earn, the more they get the attention of local sponsors interested in having them in their teams and as testimonials.

➢ All the data collected by MUV will be shared as open data and valorised to foster the debate on active mobility and encourage city planners to design more effective urban policies.
