About me

I am an Industrial Engineering student with a passion for Industrial Design and Automotive Design. My goal in the future is to gain academic knowledge and professional experience in design in order to combine my engineering know-how with my creative skills. In the future, I want to work jointly with a group of designers and engineers to come up with practical and innovative solutions.

In my free time, I sketch cars and strive to evermore improve my line work. In addition to this, I read about many new innovations done by ordinary people (not necessarily done by companies). Keeping up to date with the implementation of automobile and industrial companies’ design languages of their products is quite a thrill of its own.

here are quite a good number of Do it Yourself (DIY) projects that I have done over the years on my own that I feel make my life easier and portrays my creative side.

DIY DESIGNS3

K NEX LeGOS MOBILE STAND & SOUND DEFLECTOR

I made the Lego mobile stand simply because I needed a way to magnify the sound from my speakers. Since my speakers were locat-ed at the bottom backside of my mobile, I believed that the delec-tion of sound from it to something solid nearby would resonate the sound. he idea was to partially mule the speaker using the lego pieces instead of with my hand. I was inspired by a project called Ears for the Surface Tablets which I found on the website Kickstarter

K Nex Lego Display Stand

I received a crated plate git that needed to be upright on my upper shelf. Using my K Nex Vehicles Building Set legos, I initially made the display stand using my without the add-on green part but noticed that the plate was slouching too much, which meant I couldn’t see it well from such a high location. hat’s why I constructed the green-shouldered add-on with blue rings (photo top let) that push the plate further out, making tilt closer to a right angle. and therefore more visible.

5

ball speakers gadget

I needed something that wouldn’t take space and keep my MP3 player and speaker dangling about while I studied. For the speakers, I took two old speak-ers and ixed them into the two halves of a hollow rubber ball. Using K Nex logos, I designed a gadget that held the MP3 player in place, made the over-lapping wires less of a distraction ,and boost sound from the speakers due to their slightly tilted position. he holder was even portable so that I could carry it to another room with two ingers and carry my books in the other.

6

earphone detangler

Everyone is familiar with the annoying tangle of earphones ater wrapping them and placing them in your pocket. hat's why I thought "why not think of something that would be storable with a permanent wrap?" his would be great because it would mean less fuss over the tangle and meaningless stress and time wasted. Using an old hollow rubber ball, I decided to poke a hole through the bottom of it so that the ear-phone jack would sturdily be held and stick out to be connected to my mobile.

7

mobile "ball" stand

One of my teachers gave me 4 hollow rubber balls of various sizes. I need-ed something small and sturdy that would hold my mobile in place so that I could read the time just by clicking the center “Home” button and still see my notiication light up I used 4 plastic push pins to create a base that wouldn’t scratch the surface that it were laying on too. he stand can be placed on my laptop without getting scratched and can also serve as a camera stand.

8

Lego Laptop Table

Due to my extensive need to work on my laptop for university, it is on most of the day. Since my desk is somewhat too low and causes me neck pain from looking down at my tilted laptop screen, I needed to make a laptop table. he idea occurred to me one day while I was studying for an exam. My time was short, yet I knew at the moment that a Lego table would be sturdy, light, and portable. Even better, the Legos were no longer being played with around our house so I was able to reuse them for a useful purpose.

CAR DESIGNS10

future hatchback

his is a sketch of what I envision my original future hatchback to look like. he front headlights are inspired by a Volkswagen UP. I purposely made its roof slanted to give a contemporary, stylish twist to a hatchback. he unusual shadows on the side windows represent black curvy overlay , that has be-come popular with the Hyundai Veloster, Nissan Juke, and Range Rover Evoque. his hatchback is meant to be a thrill to drive, and a sight for sore eyes.

11

4*4 curver

his is a quick sketch of my original futuristic 4*4. he headlights (front & back) are inspired by the Lamborghini Urus. Furthermore, I was trying to create something new while exprimenting with strong curves around the car’s body.

12

mini-van master

his is a quick sketch of my original mini van. he overall round shape is what makes it futuristic. Inspired by Kia Carens, my emphasis on the fenders and the entire stretch of the body is a potential for a an eye-catching design, in a way similar to the Peugeot Onyx’s copper sheet that will “age and devel-op its own unique partina over time”, quoting Richard Hammond of Top Gear.

13

aerodynamic racer

he idea behind this design was how the least number of lines could represent a car. he open mouth and high shoulders give it a race-like feel. he parabolic shaped curve that runs from the front to the rear inlays something mysterious and exciting from within. I also envisioned a mechanism in the middle that would be concave and would enhance the aerodynamics of the car.

coupe smiler

his was a spontaneous sketch ater drawing many coupes. he front head-lights are similar to the Toyota 86 , and the rear to the Bentley Continental, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and Audi TT. My love for strong prominent curves is clear he “smiley” grill is similar to that of the Mazda Mx-5 Miata.

14

FLASH

he entire design was inspired by the Mazda Furai & Ryuga Concepts. hey were and continue to bewilder the viewer. heir luid-shaped curves are iery and dynamic.

PERSPECTIVE

In this sketch, I was focusing on mastering my perspective when it came to drawing cars. hus, only the body work was of interest. I have yet much more to reach this goal.
