Her first role was a double role as the Third Lady and Third Spirit in the Yuba College production of Mozart’s ‘The Magic Flute’ in the spring of 2013. A year later, in the spring of 2014, she was the lead role of Yuba College’s production of ‘Dido and Aeneas’. Now, under the instruction of Dr. Robin Fisher, Ms. Serrano was the character of Mrs. Trapes in the Sac State Opera Theatre’s production of Benjamin’s Britten’s ‘The Beggars Opera’ in the spring of 2015. She was also the winner of Sac State’s annual Robert S. Dinsmore Opera Scholarship that same spring. Ms. Serrano is currently preparing for the role of Fidalma in Sac State Opera Theatre’s production of Domenico Cimarosa’s ‘Il Matrimonio Segreto’. Ms. Serrano will receive a $1500 scholarship to continue her vocal studies, which she plans to use in the pursuit of the operatic stage.
