Musical Theatre Camp is proud to announce

THE PAGEMASTER

Musical Theatre Camp enables theatre-loving kids, ages 5-14, to develop their confidence,

character and presentation skills through ensemble performances. Our staff will immerse

your campers in an authentic Broadway rehearsal process that allows them to be successful

regardless of experience level. Musical Theatre Camp at American Heritage will build your

campers’ confidence, inspire creative expression, and instill passion in both aspiring artists

and future audiences. Along with gaining acting, singing, and dancing technique, campers in

the theatre camp will also have several regular camp activity choices daily, including a chance

to swim.

This summer will showcase songs and scenes from countless major Broadway shows and

movies. This summer we will be putting on a new play written by the director of our theatre

summer camp, Liz Mignacca, called The Pagemaster. Inspired by the 1994 movie, The

Pagemaster will center around one kid’s adventure into the heart of many well-known and

beloved books. Upset about the idea that they are assigned a book report over the summer

break, this kid’s journey to the library will be like no one else’s journey when they end up

falling asleep on a desk, waking up only to find that they have been transported into the very

book they have been reading! Come and join us on this exciting adventure as our unlikely

hero befriends iconic Disney characters, battles age old literary villains, conquers countless

fears, and discovers a love for reading in the most unusual way! The show dates will be on

July 14th and 15th.

Our Black Box Theatre is an amazing, intimate venue for our Musical Theatre productions.

The actors will also enjoy professional style dressing rooms, scene shops, and costume rooms.

Your theatre camper will be working with experienced professional actors, directors, and

musicians who have years of experience working with children in an educational setting. Our

directors understand that your campers want to look and sound their best and that being a

member of a cast is about more than just the finished show; it’s about the journey, the

friendships, and the confidence you gain along the way.
