Before the bandaging the Egyptians

adorned their dead with gold, jewels, and protective amulets.

They also wrote prayers on the

bandages.

If your heart weighed less than the feather than you would go on to the after-

life, but if it didn’t it would be eaten by the part hippo, lion and crocodile called

the Amemet Monster.

The weighing of the heart ceremony was a celebration that told if you could go to

the After-life.

The Egyptians would put your heart on one side of the scale and weigh it to the feather of

truth on the other.

They thought that if a person died and a body decayed, they wouldn’t go to the after-life.

Pharaoh's had a more magnificent burial to the after-life.
